I understand that he may be an exception and not the rule, but with the success and longevity of Tim Wakefield and other knuckle ballers throughout the history of the game, why aren't there more of them? It may not be the most glamorous way to pitch, but you'd think as soon as a young baseball player realizes he likely won't be about to throw his fastball more than 85 mph he would start looking to other pitches, and the knuckle ball would top the list.

So what's the deal? Is it a wussy way to pitch of something, or is it just really difficult to master (compared to other pitches), and that's why you only see them every now and then?

Looked through all their answers and questions ( or alot of them) do you think it would reveal that persons true personailty and morals or do you think that you would find out not much about them.

I don't have the time or need to do that, but just thinking about how many personal things and/or serious things that we ask or answer...there must be alot of revealing things about us that we forget that we have said.

My ex bf and I broke up over 2 months ago after a long-term relationship. He cheated on me and I never got over it, so we mutually decided it wasn't working out. However, after a vacation away from home, he came back deciding he wanted me back. I had moved on by then and was dating someone new and was happy with the way things were and didn't want to go back to all that bitterness and anger I felt with him. When he found out I was seeing someone, he couldn't handle it. For the past 6 weeks or more, he has called and emailed constantly begging me to come back. I said no repeatedly. He started calling me at work when I wouldn't answer at home or on my cell. Then, in the past 2 weeks, I have stopped all contact whatsoever. So now he has found out the phone number and email address for the guy I'm seeing and has started emaling and calling him telling him things to try to make him stop seeing me. This is getting crazy. There has been no physical threats, but is this harassment?

Before the birth they have good health but after they lose hair and teeth, and have constant health problems, and are never the same. It seems as if they were made by nature to last one birth, and then it does not matter if they survive or not. Should not they have been made more resilient as survival of species? It would not do to produce numerous female species to use only once evolutionarily, so why are they like this?

Of all the NHL teams, it seems to me that the Columbus Blue Jackets are not clued in to the equal opportunity aspect of the sport. They have neither a plan or a playoff berth in their team's history. On the other hand, Minnesota, the Jackets' fellow expansionists, have been among the foes of the Western Conference. Will the Jackets ever be contenders? A sub question would be: If you were Jackets GM Scott Howson, would you trade Rick Nash and Rusty Klesla? The "supposed" franchise cornerstones have been nothing but.

This is a question for San Fran locals. I was wondering what's the best way to get to the restaurant French Laundry. We're staying at the Hilton at Union Square. We're not renting a car.

Should I just take a taxi?

Thanks.

I bought this mobile home, single wide, large bedrooms, only one problem: Dark, dated, depressing paneling throughout the wholeeeeeeee place. Blehhhh. It is very economical to live here, and I want to make this place work. I' m so sick of looking at it. How do I paint this stuff and not make it look terrible? I may want to resell it someday. Any suggestions will be appreciated...thanks.

"At first, all the lockers are closed. A person walks by, and opens every other locker, starting from locker 2. Thus lockers 2, 4, 6, ... 998, 1000 are open. Another person walks by, and changes the "state" (open or closed) of every third locker. Another person changes the state of every fourth locker, and so on."

I have figured out the answer to this question - lockers whose numbers are perfect squares will be closed (1, 4, 9, 16, 25, and so on). It's simple once you think about it; the number of factors a number has is how many times its "state" has been changed. If we look at 6, it can be broken into 1 x 6 and 2 x 3. Disregarding 1 (because nobody went around changing all the closed lockers to open), the state has been changed 3 times leaving it open. Now take 25. Breaking it apart into its factors, we get 1 * 25 and 5 * 5. We can't include 5 twice, so there are an even number of state changes leaving it closed.

So I understand this problem, but how can I prove it?
