Ramadan is supposed to start on the 12th or 13th of september this year, you cant really be sure until the day comes, because you have to be able to see the moon

its supposed to end of october 11th or 12th..again not sure until you know what day it began

you could go to a local mosque for Eid, in my family we invite over family and friends in the morning and then spend the rest of the day celebrating at other people's houses

also sometimes if theres a lot of Muslims in your workplace they have parties. like my dad's friend works in Microsoft and every year they have an Eid party there

Ramadan will start on September 13, and last probably until October 13th-ish. Eid would then be day after or October 14th and for Eid you can go to your mosque for Eid prayer and just to meet other people.

BTW, My dates aren't exact, we won't know when Ramadan is or when Eid is until like the day before-because it all depends on the moon sightings.

Eid Mubarak to you too and regularly Muslim names are Arabic names, based upon the Quran or the Names of Sahaba or Imams. yet not continually like in Pakistan we've people named "Allah Ditta" the place Ditta advise given in Punjabi so it skill "Given by Allah" or Pushtun names, which could extremely extremely boombastic like Baro Khan (great Khan) Or they may well be derived from different languages like Feroz that's an quite common call meaning Turquoise (the gemstone) in Turkish often the 1st call is Arabic however the Surname is non-arabic and is the prolonged kin/tribal call like Talpur or Mir or Arain etc
