I always have trouble beginning a cover letter to send along with my resume. I have no trouble writing the rest of it. Can you suggest an attention-getting starting sentence?

To Lovelorn: I like your suggestions, but feel they make better closing statements. What I'd like is a first sentence that doesn't begin w/the word "I" and which names the job advertised.

I have the skills you are looking for in the advertised position.

I hope to be able to meet you to discuss my candidacy for the advertised position.
