I don`t think there should be a problem with drinking too much of water, PROVIDED you have healthy kidney and heart function. But, drinking too much of water within a short span of time like 10 to 15 minutes may contribute to a congestion of heart and lungs that put extra burden to kidneys to excrete the excess amount of the water from the body. If, your kidneys are already in failure, it may contribute to fluid congestion(overload) in the circulation that may lead to heart failure.
When, you drink excess water within a short period of time you also may end up in electrolyte imbalances like low sodium levels that may affect your normal function of the nerves and cells.
Otherwise, drinking too much of water over the period of time like over 24 hrs should not cause any problem PROVIDED you have a healthy heart and kidneys.
Hope, this helps.

ok, enable's use effortless sense in this one. delusion. If chilly water led to kidney failure than each horse that ever went out in the rain could be doomed. additionally, each guy or woman and animal that ever swam in a lake, river or ocean is doomed. people additionally say chilly climate reasons colds. yet another untruth. Colds are caught by using you contacting an endemic. specific, while you're under pressure you're extra suseptible. i assume if a horse grew to become into a great deal under pressure and already having kidney issues an rather chilly tub could desire to somewhat aggrivate the priority. yet no longer on a horse without the priority already, or perhaps then i think of it could be rather minimum. numerous previous different halves thoughts accessible in the pony international! What on the subject of the "one white sock" poem? Or the thought you may desire to lean forward while your horse pees so which you do no longer harm his kidneys? i could desire to flow on all day.

Only in very extreme cases. There was one woman who died after a radio competition recently. But I think anyone can drink like 16 glasses a day without a problem. It also depends on the weather. In winter too much water means going to the washroom every 5 minutes.

Your kidneys must work overtime to filter excess water out of your blood circulatory system. Your kidneys are not the equivalent of a pair of plumbing pipes whereby the more water you flush through your kidneys, the cleaner they become; rather, the filtration system that exists in your kidneys is composed in part by a series of specialized capillary beds called glomeruli. Your glomeruli can get damaged by unnecessary wear and tear over time, and drowning your system with large amounts of water is one of many potential causes of said damage. If you force large amounts of water into your system over a short period of time, your kidneys will struggle to eliminate enough water from your system to keep the overall amount at a safe level.Drinking alot of sodas are even worse on your kidneys.

I'm not actually sure if it is the kidneys that are affected, but it is possible to die from drinking too much water. I think that what happens is that it gets rid of some things we need in our body. It is rare, but it does happen.

It doesn't cause permanent damage exactly, but it can cause the kidneys to say ENOUGH and shut down. This was happening to me every 6 months. My endocrinologist had me writing down everything I ate and drank and figured it out. Once I decreased my drinking (water, juice, coffee, broth), the problems went away and I've never had another infection. I was drinking a lot as a weight loss measure. Repeated kidney infections can destroy the kidney.
So, you are incorrect. If your library allows you access to medical journals online, you should be able to find several sources.

If you don't have a diseased kidney, some heart problems or some rare medical disorders, drinking a lot of water is always beneficial, both for the kidneys and for your general health.

Drinking too much water rapidly can kill you.
It happened here with a radio station having a contest who can the most water within 15 minutes.
A 19 years old woman died from this contest, even though she won.
