No, it certainly does not. All the caffeine may cause bloating, in fact, and Splenda is NOT GOOD FOR YOU! Put the coffee down and instead pick up a glass of water. 6-8 glasses of water will help you lose weight. :)

There are no studies that prove coffee helps you lose weight. It is a stimulant, so might become hyperactive, which may help you with some weight loss. But don't you think 6-8 cups is a bit too much. Even one cup a day is addictive. I would employ caution!

Absolutely not... The aspartame in Splenda is very similar to MSG. Both cause weight gain and a variety of side effects that are often not associated with consumption of this substance. The caffeine also has side effects which is not desirable on your limited diet. (Dr. Neal Barnard) Even the leanest cuts of high quality grass fed beef contain excess cholesterol and fat. Excess animal proteins cause problems for your body because the nitrogen waste products are difficult for your body to handle. Read T. Colin Campbell "The China Study" for details. An ideal diet for weight loss is a whole plant based diet containing leafy greens (calcium, iron), whole grains, legumes (peas, beans, nuts), and whole fresh fruits. If you go vegetarian, check with your physician because any drugs you take may need to be reduced or eliminated as your diet improves. Take B12, Ground Flax Seed (Omega-3), and possibly vitamin D.

Wow, 6-8 cups? Though Voltaire was said to drink 70 a day. Now you know why he wrote like he did..heh. But, yes, the caffeine and antioxidants in coffee help speed up thermogenisis and metabolism, which cause you to have more energy and burn more calories.

This kind of action will cause your heart rate to increase considerably, I will have to agree with the other person who answered, drinking large amounts of coffee is likeley to cause weight gain rather than weight loss due to the unbalance it causes in your blood circulation.
Try drinking plenty of water on its own.
Or even squeeze half a lemon into the glass of water once a day, this thins the blood and causes your body to heal quicker and also to circulate oxygen faster through your body. Do not overdo this though as it can be dangerous to thin your blood to much

It only helps if it helps you to avoid eating a high calorie item. But coffee is not associated with weight loss.

I think it is in place of something that would be more fattening. Be careful about drinking so much coffee. In time you will see that it will affect how you sleep. Depending on your age, it may be a few years down the road.

there are arguments both ways.
cofee contains a lot of cafein wich increases the heart rate and speeds up motabolism.
this will make you lose weight.
but some people think that cofee may make you gain weight because cofee is acidic so your organs build a fatty layer around themselves to prevent damage.
it doesnt make me put weight on though.
hope this helps
good luck :)
