I'm making these chocolate things for my mom's birthday and I need a double boiler. The problem is that I don't have one. How do I make a double boiler using only common kitchen pots and pans? Is it just put a small pot in a big pot. Does it cover the whole top or do I need to leave a opening to let the steam out? any help at all will help. thanks in advance

of course this is not too popular an idea since its horrific and dastardly, but think about ww 2. how many innocent people were killed there to just to put an end to this and keep more people from dying in the future.

Aside from being the holy land for 3 religions, the middle east has been the most embroiled region of the world since ever, death murder and torture always has a home in the middle east. I realize there are so many reasons to not consider this, but how about just for argument the reasons FOR it, first off you destroy all the oil and force us to look for alternative environmental methods, (despite irradiating a large portion of the world) and you destroy all the money profiteering going on in the war. in a way you scrape the wound clean theoretically instead of leaving it to fester for the rest of earths existence. how much suffering do we need to see, how much risk do we need to face before something is done. Humanity is important, but where was that in WW2, priorities.

I dont know what labor is like.. although this is my second child. I had an emergency c section at 36 weeks with my last. planning another c section with this one..but i have felt like crap today. I am having lower back pains my whole abdomen aches. it feels tight. and i have had an upset lower stomach all day. i dont know if it is just stress (i was just recently put on complete bed rest for blood pressure and i am a little worked up about it for financial reasons) I dont know what to think.

I used to be about 268 pounds (before I lost 96 pounds...and NO I did NOT have surgery!) Even though I was on the large size, I wore nice clothing that not only fit me, but were fashionable and stylish. I did not feel the need to wear tight clothes that would make me look ridiculous (not to mention LARGER than I actually was).

I would like to know the following: why do you think you look good in too-tight clothes? You don't! Bellies hanging out, pieces of flab coming out of your tiny t-shirts, tank tops, low-rise pants that do NOT cover your behinds properly...why??? Just tell me why?

im not saying just take any convicted felon in that comes off the street. im saying if you did your research on the person and believe they have been rehabilitated would you hire a convicted felon? do keep in mind that the recidivism rate(return to prison) is extremely high. please excuse spelling!

4 weeks ago and then again today I experienced a crescent-shaped thingie in my right eye's peripheral vision. The crescent was full of shimmering lights. this lasts 15 minutes then vanishes. Tonight the crescent moved off to the right, out of my vision. The first time, I immediately got a headache and felt nauseated. Tonight the headache was fairly mild and so was the nauseous feeling. Have you experienced this? It is so weird it alarms me. I have a Dr.s appt on Tuesday. Thanks in advance for your comments.

well i know this guy, hes my friend and hes totally into his "thing" if you know what i mean, i dont know whats wrong with him, whenever hes around me i catch him like rubbing on things or like rubbing things on it. then whenever im sitting with him really close, out of the corner of my eye i see him grabbing at his thing. also, sometimes were walking and he kinda rubs it on me.

Why in God's name do columnists, authors, and news/sports broadcasters insist on putting the word "an" before the word "historic"? Historic does not start with a vowel nor does it start with a vowel sound! I hear people saying things like, "...it was AN historic event..." but never anything like, "I was carrying AN history book," or "I teach AN history class." Someone please help me understand the reason for this common grammatical error!!!
