I just said a prayer to Jesus and this is what I said

Dear Jesus,
If I ever promised something on the holy spirt or promised you something, I'm very suppor sorry, but I'm going to have to take that back because I don't want to promise you something that might not happen maybe later on in life it will, but I don't think it is right now, but I still want to keep me spirt saved and my others, and I will say that I will try to follow your commandments on the list to have my other lifetimes saved and when I sin I want you to forgive me and help me to not sin again and please don't take it the wronge way, oh eya and pleasegive my sins now
ok?
Thank you,
Amen.

or I said something like that. He'll understand right? I'm sure he will. What's your opinion?

Oh yea, and I said that because I might have promised something on the holy spirt or something that I would do so I said that because if it doesn't happen I don't want to promise something that might not happen and he saying "remember that day when you said blah blah on the holy spirt" or something like that. Oh yea, and if you think I'm being mean I'm trying not to be. Ok thank you for the answers bye!!

What the hell are you talking about? Why would you do something wrong knowingly? Well, that is between you and G-d, but know that Jesus took all of that into consideration, and died for us and promised us forgiveness and ever lasting life. So, you're clear, but taking advantage of the forgiveness card. But, I am sure you have good reason for doing what ever you do, so G-d bless you.

The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.

If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't perfect.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.

First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.

How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work 100 percent of the time?

It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.

One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.

Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.

If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.

If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.

How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.

Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.

If this is the case and we are perfect creations of a perfect God then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.

How likely is that????

Think about it.

Love and blessings

Once you are saved, you CANNOT lose your salvation. I don't know what the other lifetimes you are talking about are, but if you accepted Christ in this one, your His until you meet Him face to face. Then you get to be with Him forever.

One big thing I had a problem grasping in my early walk was that God loves you soooo much, but, no matter what you do, you are never going to make that amount any more OR any less.

He hears your heart.

I hope this is not a prayer in order to rely on His grace to get away with sin. That is not what grace is for. He desires we live a life which is holy. Grace is there because we fall short of his glory - we miss the mark. But, to sin and know we are sinning is a mockery. As it says in scripture, "Should we sin that grace may abound? May it never be!".

Instead of promising Jesus stuff, ask him to help you with your problems. Jesus wants you, not your stuff. He will ALWAYS forgive your sins, he understands.

Yes, Jesus looks at your heart, and he will understand.

Jesus knows all. Of course he will understand what you mean. He knows you better then you know yourself. Jesus can tell what you mean even if you mess it up a lot

The problem I have with Christianity is that you could be the 4th Richt and Jesus will forgive you, while you can be another Mahatma Ghandi and not beleive in heaven and go straight to hell.
