Alfonsus de Liguori (1696-1787) was a principal proponent of the Marianist Movement, which glorifies Mary. He wrote a book entitled "The Glories of Mary" which is famous, influential and widely read. In this book, de Liguori says that Mary was given rulership over one half of the kingdom of God; Mary rules over the kingdom of mercy and Jesus rules over the kingdom of justice. De Liguori said that people should pray to Mary as a mediator and look to her as an object of trust for answered prayer. The book even says that there is no salvation outside of Mary. Some people suggest that these views are extreme and not representative of Catholic Church teaching. However, instead of silencing de Liguori as a heretic, the Catholic Church canonized him as a saint and declared him to be a "doctor of the Church" (a person whose teachings carry weight and authority). Furthermore, his book is openly and officially promoted by the Catholic Church, and his teachings have influenced popes.

to sacrifice his son on that altar, only this is worse because I am not doing the killing with my bare hands, God is using her mind to rebel against what I think is good for her with her allergies?

I feel like I am giving up a daughter's life as a sacrifice for my healing ways with others! God is being mean to me!

Can you ask him to stop this? Can you find it in your heart to will this senseless ideas of my daughter that her cat is more important than her health?

I was born In Germany on an American Army Base, and I know I am an American Citizen because of my Social Security Card and I know that I do have a Birth Certificate (but my mother refuses to hand the original over to me)

Dont know if this is true where you are, but it seems like most silences of respect are held at 11am, such as rememberence sunday (i know why that is), and anniversaries of the london 7/7 bombings, diana's death memorials. Is there any significance with 11am?

In 2004 the quarter mile wide asteroid Apophis had odds of 1/63,000 chance of hitting Earth in April 2029, now the odds are 1/45,000. So far NASA says it'll pass at just 22,300 miles from us where our comms satellites are (MUCH closer than our Moon) - but you can read plenty online saying it'll be even closer. However, it's generally agreed that if Apophis doesn't hit in 2029 it's SURE to hit Earth in 2036, because of its orbital path.

Even if this giant rock doesn't hit us in 2029 it's going to tear through the upper atmosphere, disrupt our protective geomagnetic field surrounding Earth & will possibly destroy satellites too - & unless we can divert its orbit before 2025 it WILL hit in 2036 with the estimated power of FIVE Krakatoas (NASA). So is Apophis the GREATEST potential threat to mankind in our current list of hysterias that includes global warming & terrorism?

I'm 25 weeks pregnant and yesterday and this morning some water like fluid leaked from me. It wasnt alot it was just like id peed a little. I had no control over it and it was clear just like water but felt a little sticky. Anyone have any ideas what this could be?

Since starting the two antidepressants she is worse, she bought 5 xanax at school wednesday, took them all, and mixed with her other prescribed meds, ended up in the ER, stomach pumped, the whole bit, there was a police officer posted at her door, they said they have her on suicide watch.
Today she was transferred to a psych hospital, she told her dad she may try again, she's really developed an attitude with her parents, she's acting very nonchalant about it, and expressing no fear or remorse about what she did, plus the week before she drank beer with her meds when out with a friend, and thats also a no no. I pray she survives this, and all her medication adjustments, I don't know anything about bi-polar and with this sudden onset with her, We don't know what to think, and are feeling pretty desperate. Whats making her act so out of character, I just don't get it, I've read the depression web sites, and I'm still confused, any one else with this experience, How did it work out??????

i was dropping my daughter off from school this morning and came to the stop sign and i was turning left and this other car was going straight. a car was in front of me that went straight and i pulled up next and there was a car at the other stop sign that went straight and i decided i would turn since that other car had just pulled up there and she only looked side to side before she decided to take off not seeing me trying to turn. she did a mississippi stop if thats how u say it because we are from mississippi. was i supposed to sit their and make sure no one is going to straight before i turn if their is a lot of cars behind me.
