1. they don't pay any one to tell them how to go to heaven. Instead they are encouraged to read the bible and pray to God for answers.

2. No paid preacher... did I say that? Sorry but paying a guy to tell you how the read the bible is ridiculous!

3. The purpose of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints is to help you quit sinning. No smoking, no liquor, no sex before marriage. I know of NO other church that follows the bible THAT close.

4. Members can be excommunicated. No other church will throw you out as long as your wallet is open and full.

5. I have been to the church and I have actually read the Book of Mormon. I investigated the church instead of trusting in the preacher that you all pay.

Ian Kennedy was called up to take Mussina's next turn in the rotation. If Kennedy comes on strong it would be a huge boost since Mussina has gone cold. I don't know anything about Kennedy. Will he be the next Wang, or the next Christian Parker? Real predictions, please, not mindless insults. I'll try to close this question before the game starts.

The couple goes to court somtime in September.to get full custody. If the mother gets a lawyer what are her chances of getting the child back? She is also pregnant with a second child while she is in jail.

It's kind of entertaining at night! Especially if you're a bit bored and a little tipsy.

My oldest son who just turned 18, wants to join the military..Problem is, he has bi polar and has a charge of criminal mischief on his record where he is on a diversion program through the courts.. would those 2 things right there disqualify him from joining?... I think he would be perfect for the military...When he is in a very structured and stricter enviorment, he does great and seems alot more happier and focused... Also what issues could disqualify a person from being able to join the military?

I have diabetes and I am so tired of always having to take shots and keep track of them. It's also a hassle to take insulin at lunch (i'm in high school) around so many people, and going to the bathroom to take it takes up a lot of time. So I'm thinking about getting the pump, but I'm worried about it falling off or getting wrecked since I participate in sports sometimes. And I am also worrying about it getting in the way, since I wear form-fitting shirts and not the really loose ones. (i'd rather not have it stick out)

If a child in my class asks me, "Have you ever smoked marijuana?" how should I answer? I have smoked it many, many times. Should I lie and say "no"? I can't say yes, because I'll get myself in trouble, and if I say, "That's none of your business," well then I'm giving myself away a bit aren't I? This is not just about smoking pot. I am often naively asked questions that I can't answer without creating controversy. I hate lying, but these children aren't ready to process the complexities of many controversial topics.

I know this 14-year-old boy and he is mentally challenged (mild). I'm over his house and he pats me on the head like you would to a toddler or a dog and says hi.

His mother wasn't turned towards us and it wasn't until she turned around to notice what he did, and scolded him for patting my head. Should I have told him not to do it before she did or did I do the right thing by letting his mother tell him not to.

I don't really know them well, I only see them a couple times a year at those really big family events and stuff.

I was just wondering:
In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, how come Fawkes isn't affected by the Basilisk's stare? Blinding the basilisk would mean that the phoenix has to look at it, right? Does it have anything to do with his song?
Thanks

I have a really bad problem of procrastinating when I have to do things. This goes from school projects and papers, to doing laundry and paying bills. I'm so bad that it is part of the reason why I failed out of college. Even now, I can't hold a job because I can't get up in the morning when I need/want to, and I have 3 alarm clocks that go off. I've always been I night person since I was a freshman in high school, but I use to be able to get up and do the things I liked to do in the morning. Now I get up and turn my alarm off, lie back down and all of a sudden it's already noon, or later.

I want to try to get my life more organized. I want to get up and practice playing guitar or piano, but instead I don't I just sit in my bed watching movies while being online looking at videos or on this website giving people advice that I should be following. Can anyone help me out, is there a way to put more discipline in your life and get things on the track again?
