I'm asking this cos I have been reading all the answers to my last q. I can picture some of those weddings, the romantic ones, the happy stories and memories, the sad ones where some of you have lost your partners after long and happy marriages, the dads that weren't there to give you away.
Anyway, I am sat here with tears in my eyes now cos I feel like I've been to your weddings! Thank you for sharing your stories with us all. I don't know how I am going to choose ba out of them cos they are all deserving.
My question is, why do you think we feel the need to cry at weddings when it is a happy occasion?

That's my tears spent for the day! l feel great now! lol x

Why do so many people assume Muslim women are oppressed because they wear the Islamic Veil (Hijaab)?

If a Catholic Nun chooses to wear a habit, she is considered pious and devoting herself to God.... but a Muslim woman chooses to wear hijaab and she is considered oppressed.

Why?

The Virgin Mary wore a veil, reverred in both Christianity and Islam as a most pious woman, yet she was not oppressed. But if a Muslim woman chooses to wear hijaab, she is considered oppressed.

Why?

Serious answers only please.

You might go into a shop a hundred times a day but every reaction that you give to the shop keeper and the reaction you get from the assistants will be different. The older you get you realise that there is no such thing as a new word or phrase or a new song. I believe there are only four chords in a guitar.
