I use a couple things to help me out. The first thing I do is give thumbs up to people who actually answeed the question being asked, and put effort into it. The from the ones still showing, I look to see if anyone gave websites or sources. That helps me if thereis a tie. Then I look for the helpfulness of the answer and relevance to my personal needs. If I still dont have a best answer and the web site/ source tie breaker isnt there, then I go with whoever worded it better or whichecvver was first if they are the same answer.

Its usually whoever makes me laugh the hardest (for my not so serious questions) or whoever put the most thought into the answer. There are times when there are so many good ones that I cannot choose, so I put those to a vote (but that's pretty rare - for me not to be able to choose).

depends on the question if its a serious one then the smartest answer but if its a funny question then funniest answer if its just a random survey or poll then i put it in voting
