am from Egypt , been to Greece last year .. we had the greatest time ever ..i loved your people , i loved your shops , i loved your food i even cook some of the Greek dishes , i bought Greek cuisine cooking book ...
i am really sad i feel bad for what is happening .. i saw the fires on TV i really feel sorry . i am praying it wll end sooooon

Hi,
Ask a boy what he will grow up to, and you often hear Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, or Police. Rarely Coast Guards. While talking of gallant actions, people mention Marines at Okinawa, Army in the Philippines, Air Force in Europe, Navy in the Pacific. But no mention of Coast Guards anywhere. Are Coast Guards really needed? Why not parcel their job to the Navy and the Police? Why, in heaven's name, do we have such a force?

Okay have 2 internet dates set up.One is for tuesday and one is for Wednesday.Why are they asking me for during the week.Is it because they have other dates lined up on the weekend? I know you have no way of telling me either but what is your opinion? One is a young doctor 10 years younger than me he is 36 and lives an hour away.The other only lives about 20 minutes away and I am meeting him at a expensive restaurant. that he suggested.Maybe I am making more of a deal than it needs to be.

This is GODS book. He supposedly inspired people to write it, and yet when I point out obviously disturbing or wrong passages, some people say, "Well that passage was added to later on after died. He did not mean for this verse to be there."

Ok, this is a very easy cop-out. It brings up the validity of the entire Bible itself, especially if God was only there for the inspiration part. The Bible as you know it could be completely false according to this excuse...

Why would God go to such great lengths to create this book, only to allow men to add and subtract to it at will? I know, man has free-agency, blah blah. Would God allow a single man to change parts of His book that would be around for thousands of years, and lead millions of followers down the wrong path?

A demonstration has been held in south- east Afghanistan accusing US troops of insulting Islam after they distributed footballs bearing the name of Allah.

The balls showed the Saudi Arabian flag which features the Koranic declaration of faith.

The US military said the idea had been to give something for Afghan children to enjoy and they did not realise it would cause offence.

The footballs were dropped from a helicopter in Khost province.

Some displayed flags from countries all over the world, including Saudi Arabia, which features the shahada, one of the five pillars of Islam - the declaration of faith.

I'm putting together a program that we hope will encourage volunteers in our elementary school. We really want to let everyone know that *any* amount of time they give over the year is important, useful & valuable. We want to try to overcome the common complaint we hear from busy parents (aren't we all!) that they don't have time to help in the school.

So, we've rounded up some prizes (overnight hotel stay, dinner gift certificates, massage, moon jump rental...) & will raffle them off. Over the year, volunteers will earn a raffle ticket for each hour that they help the school in any way - classroom help, baking, attending PTO meetings, planning & staffing events, helping their child with fundraisers, helping the teacher after school, working in the library...

I want to come up with a slogan & name for this whole thing. Something along the lines of 'Every minute matters' or 'You make this a great school'. Anything besides 'Volunteer Appreciation Raffle'. Any ideas?

my wife and i just adpoted a golden retriever from the shelter. we were told he has all the shots and dewormed. i wonder how often he needs to be dewormed? what kind of worms i have to worry about for golden? are the over-the-counter drugs effective?

Last year on 2/14/06 when I was at a train station getting ready to leave for a quick minute for something before getting on the train in 40 minutes, this cop just drove up to me as I was walking to my car just because he didn't like the way I was walking to my car. I had no problem with him asking me questions or even if he gave me a breathalyzer test, what I had a problem with was that he wanted to see my ID, look at my plates, and do a background check on me. I thought that was uncalled for. I thought that was unnecassary because
I WASN'T ACTUALLY DOING ANYTHING WRONG. If I did something wrong, fine. But I didn't deserve that. Out in public,
I don't think anyone should have to be subject to pulling out their ID to a cop unless that actually did something wrong.


I think it's an abuse of power and I would gladly write to the House of Representatives about this. I'm gonna report this transit cop. A cop can't just do a background check just because of the way someone walks.
