When is the next one, and how would you document it the best? Where is the next place to see it?

Your first answer was correct. Feb.20-21, 2008. The way I documented it was going outside and setting up my camcorded on a tripod. But you have to remember to adjust it as the earth rotates.

Didn't see it but wanted to, got up at 4:00am and it was storming here, so I didn't want to go up a tower to view it at the horizon. I would documented with a digital camera on a tripod and the next eclipses and best viewing locales are as follows... check out the link, you can see them halfway across the planet.

2008 Feb 07: Annular Solar Eclipse
Antartica

2008 Feb 21: Total Lunar Eclipse
Lesser Antilles Islands off the northern coast of South America

2008 Aug 01: Total Solar Eclipse
Moscow, Russia area

2008 Aug 16: Partial Lunar Eclipse
Madagascar, Africa area

Looks like the next one is Feb. 21, 2008. The full eclipse will be visible from most of North & South America, western Europe and western Africa.

Because of my location the eclipse happened during moonset and was obstructed by trees. However here are some shots I took.
