My argument assesses Atheism as a system of belief. Whether a God does or does not exist is irrelevant to this question.

Atheism is based on the central tenet that the cosmos is an absolute. The universe is an autonomous mechanism operating on the law of causality: Everything is both a cause to a future effect and an effect of a previous cause. From this natural science draws its authority to "calculate" all things: origins, morality, etc.

That said, according to this belief you must arrive at a point at which Atheism is not governed by reason. It is the arrangement of your brain physiology which decides what you believe.

Even more laughable, is that Christianity (and all religious belief) is also decided by causality.

So not only is Atheism a contradiction (if you claim it on the basis of "reason"), but Atheism actually justifies Christianity. Once you carry out Atheism's logic, Christianity and Atheism are both equal.

Now, how funny is that?

Am I wrong?

good policy to contact someone before adding them to your contacts? I have always done this, but took no offense that others added me to their list. I have had some of the pictures disappear from the avatars of my contacts. I realize this happens when they are in the process of changing their avatar, but I have had some "blanks" up for the past few weeks. Given the trolling that has been hurting all of us, with unfair violations notices, and suspended accounts, would it be asking for too much to email the person you are interested in "connecting" with, before you hit "add to contacts?" Maybe it is a generational thing, as I am older, but I was taught to knock, and wait for the door to be opened. Before it became Open Season hunting ground on this site, I considered it a compliment when someone added me to their contacts. Now when I find a notice from an account user that has been a member for a few days or weeks that I am not familiar with I have to wonder.

If both partners genuinely consent to the sex, why would the older person still be charged with rape? I understand the whole "adult should be more responsible" thing, but I just read something about how if a 16 year old marries an adult over the age of 18 with legal consent from her/his parents..the married couple could legally have sex. How does just being married make a difference in the whole thing? Does only the fact that they are married by law mean they can have sex even though the 16 year old is still technically a minor?

The local Armenian bakery uses it in their "old Armenian style" bread. It says on the paper it's a "universal starter"... is that like yeast? They use both yeast and bigaa in the bread. I wanted to read more about what bigaa is made from and how it is made - or even where to buy it, but I've found nothing.

The Poetry Effect

The words in the lines
Weaving through to make a rhyme
Through the ever leaving time
We pass into the future

Emotions, words in poems
Your heart on your paper
Bringing together
The times of your life

The ink in your pen
Passes to the paper and the past
So we pass also, writer and reader
Moving forward through these lines

Writing words sharing life
The words pass to the reader
For a moment two beats are one
As we read their heart

Heartbeat on paper
Beating on and on
Through time and through others
Carry these words on our paper

Yes, I guess strange times calls for strange logic. Here are some people that say saying we need more terror attacks so people can appreciate the job the president is doing on the war on terror or something like that.

"At the end of the day, I believe fully the president is doing the right thing, and I think all we need is some attacks on American soil like we had on [Sept. 11, 2001]," Milligan said to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, "and the naysayers will come around very quickly to appreciate not only the commitment for President Bush, but the sacrifice that has been made by men and women to protect this country."

To save America, we need another 9/11. America's fabric is pulling apart like a cheap sweater. What would sew us back together? Another 9/11 attack.

I recieved an e-mail more than 20 times about Starbucks refusing to send the military coffee. I don't know about any of you but no matter how you feel about the war don't you think a company should support a human being for thier efforts to keep thier company free not to mention yhier employees?
I will no longer be buying any products from this company who has turned thier back on thier fellow Americans!
I have sent this e-mail out to all my contacts and I ask that anyone who wishes to see the e-mail about the Starbucks company e-mail me through here.
And even if you don't want to read the e-mail I would think all americans would stop buying Starbucks products.
In conclusion....OOH RAH!!!
