Men have been dating other men's wives for quite a while, women are just catching up with what men have been doing.
Some married men lie and forget to tell a woman that they are married
-other women don't want to make a commitment and just want sex,
-some women fall in love with the guy and think he loves her and will eventually leave his wife for her,
-some women are married and bored to death or unhappy in their marriage and want to feel needed/loved again
-like others have said, some women are lonely

When women do this, they must be very, very lonely. If they knew how to do better things with their time instead of getting involved with married men. They would not run the risk of getting hurt, hurting others and wasting everyones time. Life is too short, that is not good time invested. Go for a single guy even though he might not be as good looking but he is probably a better person that will not cheat on you either.

It's assumed that married men are more appealing.
I don't believe in cheating, but I will admit that I did find this married guy really hot and fantasized about being his mistress. But in reality, I knew it was wrong and understood the consequences of involving myself in such a situation. The fantasy of getting involved with a taken man did turn me on though.
EDIT: So maybe some females choose to act out on their fantasy of being with a taken man? Just a guess.

It's sad that we even have to ask such a question. My initial response would be low self esteem, but I think we should try not to be too judgemental. Probably the better question would be why are so many asshole husbands cheating on their wives?

Because they haven't a wit of wisdom about themselves. They are in fact a ' gold ring in a swine's snout ' so what could a good spirit expect from them? Discretion? Hardly!

I think there are many reasons, some people want what they cant have, there is little commitment, and they think they will sweep the guy off his feet and he will leave his wife. I am sure there are many more, all of which are just as invalid.
But I think all of these women (and men) have two things in common; they are unhappy and they hav low self esteem.

Women who knowingly date married men have no class, morals, values or ethics, and they deserve what they get.
Married men who cheat on their wives are pigs, and they deserve what they get.
And vice-versa
