Gosh... the absurdity of some beliefs is overwhelming. Life after death...??? Prayer...? Personal relationships with spirits and invisable gods...?

Yo believers.... Have you considered yourselves lately... have you thought about how you appear to others..?

Muslims believe that if they die defending god, they go straight to 7th heaven and recieve special rewards. It's nuts, isn't it..?

Recently I found out my boyfriend's email password and saw that he was a member to a sexsearch.com site, where adult personals are posted, video chats go on, etc. I am furious but know that I am not alone. Don't know what to do about it. Need help.

An older Irish pensioner was living alone somewhere in Northern Ireland. He had an only son who had been arrested on suspicion of arms trading.

As he was getting on in years, he began to worry about his ability to dig up his garden to plant potatoes for that year. He wrote to his son in prison about the problem and received a letter back that read the following:

Dad,

Whatever you do, DON’T DIG UP THAT GARDEN - that’s where I buried the guns!!

Your loving son,

Paddy

At 3am the next morning the man was awoken by a dozen British soldiers who proceded to dig up the man’s entire garden only to find no guns.

Bewildered, the man wrote to his son, telling him what happened and asking what he should do next. His son’s reply came:

“Plant your potatoes.”

For the past week, I have had such a problem falling asleep. It's still summer break for me and I'm 16 years old. Normally in the summer I stay up until 2:30 - 3:30 AM chatting with my friends, texting, IMing, watching TV, listening to music.

For the past week as soon as I get into bed, I have such a problem falling asleep. If either sleep on my stomach or on my back.

I normally sleep easily, and I sleep like a baby. I don't know what it is, but I can't fall asleep. I'm basically under no stress at all, I'm 16. I don't have much to worry about.

I close my eyes & try to clear my mind & focus on falling asleep, or if I see just like black with my eyes closed, I just focus on that. I try to relax myself as well.

I don't like milk so I won't drink hot milk, and I don't want to drink before bed.

Any suggestions for me to fall asleep easier? I just want to fall asleep in like 5-10 minutes, but lately it has been taking me 30 minutes at least to an hour!

Thanks!

My son turns 5 in mid september. We have been struggling with the deciscion whether to send him this year or wait a year, I haven't slept in weeks. He wants to go to kindergarten he is very excited. But, i am nervous he doesn't know many letters or letter sounds. He is small for his age but, he is smart. His Pre-School teachers told me to keep him back beacause of his size & age. We didn't completely agree. We were going to hold him back and recently thought he would be o.k. in Kindergarten he is so excited about going but, I am nervous and worried he may not be ready. Can anyone give me advice on this. Am I getting stressed for nothing. Should I listen to the Pre-School teachers or give him a chance in Kindergarten?

I just wanted to repost this question again. Recently I asked a question about favorite childhood television shows, and one of the answers featured Barney as one of their shows. This reminded me of the show. Did anyone else like watching Barney during their childhood? Did you have a favorite episode that you liked watching over and over again as a child? I grew up in 1990, and loved the show when it first came out in 1992! I used to have every (or almost every) episode from the first season on tape. Here was one of my favorite episodes.

Anyone remember this episode, titled I Just Love Bugs, I used to watch the I'm Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee song scene over and over again (only a few minutes long). Tina (from what I remember) played the role of the bumblebee. I used to like the look of the bumblebee costume alot when I was a few years old, it's kind of embarrasing to admit actually, but I did. Thanks, hope to get a lot of answers, and some people with specific episodes they liked!

I acknowledge my bias as a wings fan. But I was watching a game in the playoffs in which it was hinted at that he had that reputation around the league. I had never heard that before. Is that accurate?

We have been married for 5 years and have a daughter that is 4 and a son that is two. I love my wife and my kids. But I found out last month that my wife cheated on me twice when I was in the Marine Corps overseas. I want to work it out but she is saying that she doesn't see the point. I have been out for a year and this happened withe her 2 and 3 years ago. I know that I love her and I can get through it. She left for a family emergency 2 weeks ago but it seems that she just wants to be away. She has pretty much said that it is over. I dont want to keep on convincing her to stay with me. I am so confused. What should I do. If it is over than ok but I am worried about my kids.

If I'm generalizing too much then just ignore the question, but for the most part men communicate directly and women don't. Women expect you to guess what they feel, need, want, etc.. without saying it.

Now, this is supposed to me because of brain differences, but is it really? How hard is it to just SAY what you want?

Like if a woman is with her Bf or husband and she sees a necklace she wants, she will not say: "honey, I want you to buy me that necklace"... she will think that in her head but instead she will say: "I really like that necklace".

So ladies, especially feminists, why not just be direct? And if you choose to be indirect, why do you get angry at the man if he doesn't "read your mind"?

Why don't women say what they feel and what they want instead of just expecting people to know? What is the advantege to indirect communication?
