I would want to know who my real real parents were and what happened to them.

I would, but not necessarily for the personal reasons of WANTING to know.

I'd want to know for medical reasons. Many times there are medical conditions that run in families, if something is wrong with you and your doctor asks if there's a history of "whatever" in your family and you answer no, they rule some diseases out.

For this reason, I believe that all adopted children should be informed of their adoption upon reaching adulthood if they weren't told while children. It's a bit of information that could save their life.

The original question was "If you were adopted but ----nobody---- told you would you want to know?"
and the answer is no, because it would certainly trouble my self-esteem, the image that i have of the world and of my parents.

Why would you suspect you're adopted if no body told you.
But if you found out you might just like to know the biological parents so that you don't marry your sibling .
Other wise if your happy don't bring misery to your life dear.

I'd want to know who my natural parents are, and for which conditions I was adopted. I'd still love my adoption parents.

I don't think I would. If my adoptive parents loved me and were willing to take me in and love me as their own and my own parents willing gave me up, then I wouldn't want any part of them. I wouldn't want to know who they were or how I came to be, I prefer to go on with my life as it was.
