I'm 17, and I really would like to be a professional photographer once I get out of high school. What do I need to do to start out in this field? I've taken a year of digital photography, and that is what sparked my love for it, but I have no idea what to do next. Any suggestions?

Ah, the cameo appearance. What do I mean? A cameo is one where a player who has long-standing ties with one organization suddenly appears with another organization for a brief time (Michael Jordan with the Washington Wizards, Joe Montana with the Kansas City Chiefs, Pete Rose with the Montreal Expos and so on). I challenge all you hockey fans to come up with the most bizarre cameo a player has made in the NHL.

My nominee: Luc Robitaille, who is more familiar for his service with the Los Angeles Kings. However, Lucky Luc has made three cameos: a season (more like a half-season due to the lockout in 1994-95) with the Pittsburgh Penguins (and a memorable appearance in "Sudden Death"), two seasons as Mark Messier's left wing on the New York Rangers, and another two seasons spend in Motown with the Detroit Red Wings. Those cameos were the meat in the service sandwich Robitaille made with three separate stints wearing purple and gold (black and silver, black and purple, etc.). Enjoy!

I'm thinking of taking up running but not sure I want to run out in 100 degree heat. I will most likely do my running in the evening or early morning hours, but still, for those of you who have been running for a while, do you still run during the summer, or do you bring it inside and run on the treadmill. Also when winter comes, how can you run with snow and ice on the ground? And how could you keep from getting sick in the winter from sweating outside in the cold air? (Don't tell me getting sick comes from germs not from being in the cold, I know that, but being cold and sweating seems like it would run down your resistance). So how do you deal with extreme temperatures?

My wife and I want to begin to save for a home, and we realize it will take us a couple of years before we are ready to buy a home. While saving our money we are thinking that investing it in some mutual funds might help us reach our goal quicker, so my question is what style of mutual funds should we invest in? Deep inside, i really dont want to fight. I didnt join the US army to do harm on americans. I'm receiving derogatory statements and with threats over the internet from individuals that have too much pride. I dont want to use a hand-gun, knife, taser, or anything that will bring up ideas on the opposite side if i show these weapons. I just want this unneccessary violence to stop without having to use any self-defense inventory.

What can I do to stop these threats?

I was too quick to save these statements that were written to me. I fear a mob will come to my house and destroy my property. Help!

My cat scratches soft against my shirt or dress or whatever while I am laying or sitting and grabs ahold of it with his mouth and just bites down and continues to scratch-like. It seems weird. He seems like he's in a trance when he does it. Kinda funny cute.

Barry can do a certain job in 5 hrs. Whereas If mike helps him, it takes them 4 hrs to do the job working together. How long would it take mike to complete the job by him self?

I read a comment on Philippine Star dated 14 August that asks the question, “are we sending soldiers in Mindanao to be killed and why don’t they have check points?” I think that comment was reckless, it was written to taunt the capabilities of the soldiers. And checkpoint in the marketplace of Jolo, Sulu, well you are really sending our troops to manslaughter huh? Obviously, you have not been there or you don’t know the real scenery there. I bet, if someone will give you a million to join the battle and defend the territory, you wouldn’t? This soldiers, who some leftist barrate are heroes, but did you see them barge on the street and shout justice during the time of beheading of the marines? No of course and yes, that was part of the marines’ job so they don’t care. Yet, what we are forgetting here is that, these people are human too, brave indeed-or maybe not. They just want to earn 12 thousand pesos a month (loan and salary deductions not included) to feed their children).

How can you tell when your first period ever is about to come? Does discharge stop? Will you have cramps in a certain area. I would like to know. Plz help me. This guy was leading me on for a long time and making me feel like we were dating. He was asking me to go on trips with him and even talked about taking me to the Grand Canyon. Then someone mentioned that he had a girlfriend. At first I didn't believe them, but then I noticed that he was dragging out the whole scenario without any commitment, and he was sending me a ton of mixed signals. I started sending him short, abrupt little emails instead of the long, lingering ones he was used to. Then he went away on vacation. I stopped emailing altogether even for weeks after he was back home. Now things are very awkward. He is playing friendly and people are still making like we're on the brink of dating. But I know different. Should I tell him what I know? Should I cut if off, or resume our usual routine in hopes of some kind of confession? What on earth is the best way to handle this?

Yeah I know weird question but I was wondering what a typical good response to get a conversation going would be. I noticed having a unique possession in your hand can get people looking. Even strangers commented to me like in a testing session during break. The general reply I would be saying is ..." Yeah, I know." I have an eraser about the size of an average human palm and it's one and a half inches thick.
