I work as a cashier at Target.
I started two and a half weeks ago, and today I realized how much I dislike it.
It's boring and I'm wasting my time.
School starts in two weeks and I want to quit before then.
I work tonight and am supposed to work for the next five days but I'd much rather not.

I guess my question is, would it be horrible if I called today and quit via telephone? If not, what could I say?
Would they force me to work two more weeks?
Or should I just say I'm going on vacation this Friday for two weeks, because there's no way they'd give me that much time off, so I could quit with an excuse. Though I suppose that would be immature, but who cares? I'm not planning on making this my career..

I've just never had a job before and need advice on how to go back to the lovely days of unemployment I miss so much.

I am absolutely amazed at how ignorant many of the respondants who answer here are about our government. Some of the quotes from some of these answers are so woefully lacking in civics knowledge that the answers are laughable.

So my question here is what has happened to civics education in this country? Why does it no longer exist?

Last night I was watching tv and saw tons of lighting outside. It was non-stop and there was also thunder. So I checked the radar to see what was coming--and there was nothing on the radar! The closest storms were probably 100 miles away. I thought maybe it was a fluke and maybe the radar wasn't updated so I checked a different radar and it didn't show anything either.

How could there have been thunder and lightning if the radar was clear?

stop chewing/eating the mulch? I am afraid it's going to hurt her digestive system. It isn't the same as trying to chew on stuff on the inside of the house because I can distract her with something else. When she is going for the mulch, nothing distracts her, she has a one track mind for it. We can yell, say no, call her name, throw a different toy, all fruitless. Any suggestions?

Ok so i was searching for irish wolfhounds in florida, and came across a 4 month old puppy. Hes gorgeuos. Hes only $600. I found him on www.puppyfind.com i was wondering if its worth it. He had an agressive tumour in his throat, today I had to take him to my vet to be put to sleep and he died in my arms.
I can't stop crying, my poor kids are scared!
He was such a good friend, he slept on our bed with us, I miss him so much. Sorry it's not a question.

there is no residew of any drugs on the oil burner and they told me that it is a pipe commonly used to smoke pot. but i bought the oil burner in a store so was it even legal for them to arrest me for this? and if so how can i make sure that they send it to the lab so my name can be cleared of these charges or will that do any good? can they still charge me even if there is no residew on the oil burner? any and all advice would be appreciated! oh and by the way i was arrested last saturday and spent saturday sunday and monday in jail for this before i was allowed to go to a bail hearing.

i like to pay for things for my boyfriend but it seems like it is getting to be that i pay way to often, in fact the past few months i think there was only 1 time he paid for our food, and that was on his birthday, keep in mind i also gave him $40.00 in his card which most likely paid for our meal and his gas money to get there, do you think its right that i have to pay all the time? should i start leaving my money at home and just tell him im broke, cuz i might start doing that..
