at least you know you have a problem and want to fix it
thats always the first step :D
i sugest maybe you get away from the computer for a while, like turn it off for a couple of days. eventually you will not think about it as much, or very little at all!
and occupy yourself with something entertaining and productive [exercising, reading..] when not on your studies
if you need the computer for studying give yourself a time LIMIT [like an hour or so..] so you won't get on Y!A [b/c it will take away many minutes maybe even an hour!]
hope you get over this addiction, and remember your studies are a lot more important that Y!A
think at the long run, imagine you start doing really bad and can't graduate, you won't be a ble to find a supporting job that allows you a comp w/internet to be ever to go on Y!A again! you must help yourself b4 you help others!
its overdramatic lol - but an addiction can be a serious problem
hope you get over it :D [you can do it!!!!!]

I got addicted to anime instead and finished an entire series in 3 days. That is the longest I have been off Y!A since I started! I have an addictive personality can you tell?
