I've heard plenty of you saying that Atheists have no system of morals, because they have no holy book.

Incorrect.

I'm not just going to spit back the old schpeel about the crusades and whatnot. This isn't an anti-religious tirade (although the more devout among you may decide to see it that way).

MANY Atheists in the USA were raised Christian or catholic. The teachings of the Bible, as they relate to morality, still ring true with me. Don't kill, don't steal, don't lie. As an Atheist, however, I'm able to look other the bible and ignore what I feel to be archaic and foolish. 'Do not want' is in this category; desire drives us to succeed and acquire. The fact that some people skip steps and abuse the first three rules to acquire shouldn't screw us all.

Those born without religious influence, I can't presume to speak for you, so I'll just guess.

We just bought a new american standard 13 seer air conditioner, and we always keep it set around 71, 72 and never really turn it off. it does cycle so its not continously running, but i was wondering if by runnning it a lot would it wear it out faster?

would you mind telling me medications you are trying....are you on one or a combo

I'm seeing my doctor today and need to change my meds, I need some meds to discuss the advantages with him. In the past when he has tried to change my medicine he goes way backward....like only treating the anxiety, or only the depression and unfortunately it's the proper treatment for me.

I'm not new to anxiety...had it all my life...last year at 27 was finally brave enough to ask for help.

for the critics...when the meds are working well for your body...you feel like yourself all the time...not that you don't get sad or angry or fearful, but it's so much more managable
the meds I have tried before either didn't work at all or exasperated my social anxiety ( which is my worst issue), by making the depression and gad controlled

i'm kinda of rambling...I'm seeing him very soon...thanks

I have very strange cravings for smells. Like rubbing Alcohol, thats the worst one, I want to smell it all the time, I have to stop myself sometimes. I also like the smell of some cleaners like Pine Sal and Mr, Clean.

Is this normal, and 18 weeks pregnant? Should I tell my doctor about this?

It pleasures him to see all the 'company people' act so concerned & upset... He truly hopes each & everyday he comes into work that the company falls short of its goals. Not that he's not going to do his work, he will do it the best he can but still is very pleased when the company fails.

Everyone else's morale is down, worried about getting fired/laid-off, and he's prancing around like a fairy .... what is wrong with him?

my college roomate who is over 18, 19 probably was having sex with a 15 year old girl. he is a nice kid doing something really stupid. i dont want to get involved and dont live with him anymore. i also have no proof except i could hear them having sex like every freakin day! i dont want to get involved, but since it is such a serious matter im wondering am i legally liable? i would feel terrible reporting it even though it is a serious crime because the kid is just being an idiot but he isnt a young girl hunter or pedophile or rapist or anything like that, he is a hard working pre med student who thinks he is in love. but i would feel even worse behind bars.. so in california what are the chances i could get in serious trouble for this?

I look for "I support the troops" decal on vehicles and when I stop at stop lights (Within shouting distance) "OR" when I stop at a Restaurant I politely ask them to send their 19 and 21 year old children to the war and support the war and help make Mr Bush look good. I had gone into a chatroom about 2 months ago and began talking with this "boy" named keith who said he was 16. which is 3 years older than I am, but I have friends who are 16 so I didn't think anything of it.

I had been contacting him since then, and we were talking and I really liked him a lot, he was sweet, and listened to my problems, and he cared about me. I'm going through a hard time right now with me family, and he was so nice, I always enjoyed talking to him.

he made a slip-up and told me that he has a job at UPS...I researched it and apparently you have to be 18 to apply. I confronted him about this and he admitted that he was 19. It turns out that he had been having sexual fantasies about me, so I severed all communication between us.

but now I'm so sad, and I can't stop crying. please, someone just tell me it was the right thing to do.
I am so scared he might have hurt me.
