I have an objective and verifiable reason for beliving God exists but I have faith when I do what He asks me to do. Faith means having faith in God not having faith that He exists. If you aren't sure God exists, you better find out one way or another. It's sort of important! :o)

Reasoning for my belief is not simply taking a leap of faith. I believe the way I believe because God has chosen to reveal Himself to me. He is my source and provider. There is no one or no thing higher than He. See, life without Him as my Father was like moving in a darkened room, not knowing why or where I was going. Once He revealed Himself to me, I could see clearly where I was going. His word gives me direction and His Holy Spirit gives me guidance. I cannot make a leap of faith without hearing from Him, to do do would be taking chances without assurance. How would you answer your question?

My friend, this is where you are wrong. If religion was accurate, it would be called history. Faith comes into everyones life somewhere. Let me prove my point. How do you know you have a brain? Have you seen it? Have you touched it? Have you heard it? The same can be said about your heart or virtually any of your organs. You have never seen, or touched it, so you must accept faith on some level just to believe they are there. Sure you may have seen pictures, but a picture of your heart is not your heart. I have seen plenty of pictures of jesus, the devil, and Buddah.... Its all about faith.

That is part of the reason that we do believe.
I never found true happiness in sin.
To believe in God it takes faith, you cannot 100% prove the existance of God.
But I cannot accept that we created ourselves and to not believe in God also takes faith you cannot 100% disprove God either.
So we are left to decide. Each one makes their own decision based on surrondings, exposure, education, and our life expirences.
I decided to become a Catholic Christian.
Peace be with you!

Logic and pure probability dictate that atheism is the only logical stance to take, since there is no objective evidence of a god or gods. Anything else requires a leap of faith.

Reason is an act of belief. All learners know reason improves and we continually expand its grasp and therefore find law and truth to be perpetually reincarnated out of the paper mache temples of limits in ignorance.
We all have reasons. We all stop at some point and just accept what we think or hope to be true is true.

Proving what is true is another story. Most things in religion are subject to interpretation, therein lies the rub, everyone has their own take on things and most of it cannot be proven. At least not with any certainty.

I am a Christian.
It started as a leap of faith, but since then it has grown as I have seen God be faithful and true to His Word.
I am looking forward to my tomorrows to see where He is leading me then.

Very objective reasons! It's not blind faith at all. It's the same reason I have "faith" that a certain bus will take me to work. It always has in the past! If you want to know details of my testimony, email me.

I could not agree more, but let me ask you this, if you could see, touch and hear an angel, but no one else could, would you call that objective or subjective? I think it is personally objective, but publicly subjective. Thus I feel that belief is a personal issue, not to be shared or foisted on others, unless asked.
