My neighbours parenting skills are a bit shabby to say the least. Driving home up our street yesterday I narrowly avoided running over my neighbours little girl, 5, and her friends who were running onto the road.

Got out the car a bit down the road and my neighbour comes out asking if I'd seen her daughter! I told her I just about ran her over and she was up to road - quite a bit up the road and well out of sight from her house.

Is that right for a 5 year old with no road sense? My son is to wee to be out alone yet but when he is I'd want him in view with strict instructions on what he is allowed to do and where he is to go.

Am I a paranoid mother?

I'm going to San Diego this Thursday. What should I wear there? I heard it has been cooler lately than other years. Should I be concerned if I only bring shorts and flip flops. I'm also from NJ/NY area and we wear lots of dark clothes to clubs. Would that be appropriate?

Also, What else is there to do other than Zoo&Shamu? Is Tijuana safe during the day? Going to LA will it be a long drive? How's public transportation? Sorry I burried you with questions but this is a questions place :-)

True Atheism does not exist. A true atheistt would end their life as soon as they truly believed in Atheism. If they believed in having a good life and living life to it's fullist, then they obviously believe in something, which makes them not Atheist. You don't need to believe in a practiced religion to be non-atheist, you have a belief and thats what you live your life by. therefore you are not Atheist. the only thing that can make a true Atheist is ending their own life, if you are afraid, then you believe in something, or you are a total coward and don't deserve to be alive to begin with. You will die and learn the truths that you made the decision to ignore while you were alive, and have to suffer extreme results thereafter. I cannot blame you for choosing ignorance and I don't feel a true god would either, but you need to realize that people cannot comprehend nothingness for a reason -- it does not exist. And that is the only thing that does not exist.

Answer my question.

and that anyone who looked to him would be healed? And why did Jesus say that just as Moses lifted up the bronze serpent on the pole, so must the Son of Man be lifted from the earth? Obviously gazing at the serpent hanging on the pole for healing was symbolic of us looking to Christ who hung on the cross for our healing. But why would God liken Jesus to the serpent which represents Satan? Why didn't he choose a dove or lion for the Lion of Judah. Why a snake? I have my own thoughts and they have to do with why the bible says in one place that God incited David to take a census and in another place it says Satan incited him to take the census. 1 Chron. 21:1 and 2 Sam. 24:1.

All ideas welcomed please.
