Flea collars don't work. Frontline is much less toxic, does not smell, and it actually kills fleas.

Flea collars don't work well at all and the chemicals in them can be harmful to the dog.

Use a flea preventative liquid like Frontline or Advantage - every single month. Your dog will not get fleas then.

No do not use a flea collar. Go to petsmart or petco and get frontline or advantage. It is a lot cheaper than through the vet.

Well, the long term effects of flea collars are deadly. They can cause cancer, weaken their immune system, and cause differant disease. We used them once on Maggie, our dog, when she had a really really bad bout with fleas, but when they were gone, we threw it away. It would be like if you put a pinch of Drano in your cereal each morning, not enough to do harm in the short term, but in the long term, it is grossly horrific.

Flea collars are worthless, they use such a low dose in the collar that it doesnt do anything...if you want to put front line on the dog it works well..also naturally give her yeast and garlic and the fleas will stay away...

Do NOT use any OTC flea products including flea collars..they are ineffective and can be extremely dangerous to your pet..they can cause allergic reactions, neurological problems, seizures and death.
