True Atheism does not exist. A true atheistt would end their life as soon as they truly believed in Atheism. If they believed in having a good life and living life to it's fullist, then they obviously believe in something, which makes them not Atheist. You don't need to believe in a practiced religion to be non-atheist, you have a belief and thats what you live your life by. therefore you are not Atheist. the only thing that can make a true Atheist is ending their own life, if you are afraid, then you believe in something, or you are a total coward and don't deserve to be alive to begin with. You will die and learn the truths that you made the decision to ignore while you were alive, and have to suffer extreme results thereafter. I cannot blame you for choosing ignorance and I don't feel a true god would either, but you need to realize that people cannot comprehend nothingness for a reason -- it does not exist. And that is the only thing that does not exist.

Answer my question.

I Apologize for the mispelling. Do not attack now. It is Atheists. I simply hit the A button that is closely next to S button.

I suggest you all to read and understand at the same time. None of you understand this as far as I am concerned.

This question is flawed in so many ways that I truly don't know where to begin.

::Deep breath:: Okay, here goes...

Nope, just can't do it. Thank Zeus that many of my fellow answerers are tackling this one. I don't drink, but after this question I may just have to start.

Update - John, since, according to you, the 28 people who have answered your question so far, don't understand it, might there be the slightest chance that either you have not phrased it properly or that it is completely illogical?

Yes, atheists exist. With the exception of humans, most life on Earth has no concept of God, yet exists. A universe without a God in which you get a brief chance to live is more than enough reason to live it to the fullest. What you are describing is an extreme Nihilism.

The fact that you feel the need to concoct lies indicates a hopelessness that religion is not adequately fulfilling.

a·the·ism–noun
1. the doctrine or belief that there is no God.
2. disbelief in the existence of a supreme being or beings.

It clearly does NOT say that atheism is the belief of NOTHING. It only says the "belief that there is no God." That whole paragraph is logically inconsistent and flawed. The idea that atheists should end their lives is stupid. And as far as "choosing ignorance" is concerned, I would bet that I have forgotten more than you will ever know.

Atheism means you believe in no God, not the belief of death and dying. That would make no sense, or else there would be no true Atheists in the world. Besides, who are you to define Atheism? Not really the best question.

I believe you are confused as to what makes an atheist.

Some Atheists do not believe in god(s).

Some Atheists (strong atheists) do believe in something, they believe there is no god(s).

To be a deist is to give credence to invisible, immaterial superstitions, with absolutely NO VISIBLE EVIDENCE of being real, and with absolutely no way to impact our lives.

Prayer has been proven NOT TO WORK. There is no afterlife. Our morality is not learned from a book, it is something we are born with, to enhance the "group" interaction that we evolved within.

You should enjoy this life all you can, live life to the fullest, like an atheist does, since atheists know there is NOTHING else.

Your question makes no sense !

The definition of an atheists is NOT someone who does not believe in ANYTHING, it is a person who specifically does not believe in God.

One can believe in love, that life is good, that people should be treated with respect etc. without believing in God.

No one understands you question because it is gibberish ? You don't even know what an "atheista" is, so you can't even formulate an intelligible question about it.

And wishing people to dead because you disgaree with their theological postions isn't very nice, so don't expect a dozen roses from the group of people you just wished dead.

The definition of atheist is NOT a suicidal person. Read a dicitonary or have someone read it to you.

The term 'atheist' means not believing in god or gods/goddesses. It does not mean they do not believe in anything.
I don't need to 'believe' in any god or gods/goddesses to feel pain when I step on glass. Committing suicide, for an atheist, would be incredibly stupid. They only know of this life, therefore he/she would have to live it to the fullest he/she can. Death would be a short end to that and would not allow the time necessary to do everything they want to do.

What???

Atheists reject the idea of a supernatural being. That doesn't mean that they don't or can't believe in having a happy life.

RESPONSE -" I suggest you all to read and understand at the same time. None of you understand this as far as I am concerned."
The question is based on a flawed premise. That's not our fault. We can only address our answers to what you actually ask.

yes atheists exists. atheists don't believe in nothing, they could believe in karma, which would be a reason to live a good life. If some one says they are an atheist it just means that they don't believe in god(s) or any kind of supernatural being

Believing in "something " and believing in a creator god are not the same thing. All that makes me an atheist is my lack of a belief in any god. Period.

Have not killed myself yet. Imagine that...

Actually atheist is a combo of a- meaning without and -theo meaning God. The -ist makes it a group of people esp. used with belief, creating: a group of people that don't believe in God, not a group of people that don't believe in anything. BTW I am not atheist but have known several, and most were good people.
