How has it made a difference in your life - good or bad? (Serious answers please - I just want real opinions)

I feel embarassed when surrounded by people who are all talking to eachother, and I dont know anyone and cant seem to talk to anyone. Iike when we have to work in partners in class, I'l work alone becuase I dont know anyone. I cant seem to make friends because Im too shy! Its not because Im overweight and insecure about myself or anything because I know im not that ugly. But Im still not confident. Also, when I talk to people, I get so nervous and have to be holding somehthing, whether its my own hand or hands in my pockets, and I cant make eye contact. I also sweat alot and stutter when I talk because Im so nervous and I try to talk fast. Whats wrong? whats it called? how can i help this? Is there a medicine?

im an azn teenager. i happen to like white girls. (not that i only like certain types of races) but then i remember a friend of mine telling my half-jokingly that white girls dont go for asian guys.

@ first i thot it was ridiculous, but as i thot about it, i noticed that it is true in some ways. ive never really seen a white girl and asian guy couple. ive seen asian-girls-with-white-guys couples though.

my question is though, do u think its true that most white girls dont prefer asian guys? if so, why do u think the reasons are? (i wont take offense it ur answers) i would like to know so i can think twice when there is a white girl i find myself interested in.

I'm 14 years old and have had my period for about a year... I've been using pads for most of that time but have been trying tampons a bit, never really keeping them in for more than long enough to figure out it didn't feel "right". Well today I tried again and I have two questions...

I inserted the tampon as far in as it would go, but when I stood up it still felt really weird and I was aware of where it was and it was just uncomfortable. Why would this be? On the box it said that if it's not pushed in far enough it can be painful but it was as far in as it could go...

And also, taking it out was really painful. It felt like the tampon was sort of sticking to me? It didn't tear the walls, I think, but it hurt and now it feels really tender.

Why is everyone so concerned w/Democrat vs. Republican? I'm of the opinion that the candidates contradict each other just because of their political party. There are certain things we need to come together on. So what do you say to a compromising government, not Democrat, not Republican- but AMERICAN?

Hi.

can someone help me with this?

I know that

(sqrt [a] - a) X (sqrt [a] - a) = (a - a^2)

but when I multiplied it out using FOIL, I got:

a - 2a^(3/2) + a^2 which does not equal (a - a^2)

I used a as the variable instead of x or else the multiplication sign would be confusing.

Please help me figure out what I did wrong here.

I don’t know about you, but I stumbled onto this website by doing a simply search for scripture. I clicked on the first one that popped up, which led me here. Looked around and thought this would be a great place to provide some supporting, uplifting encouragement to my fellow Christians.
I soon found myself tangled in this web of being offensive at times, caught up in silly debates and even trying to defend my Lord Jesus (whom which, does not need me to defend Him).
I’ve spiraled!

Even when I was a child, it didn't matter what kind of raw vegetables I ate, if I ate more than a small amount, they would hurt my tummy. At first it feels like I turn really hungry, then it turns to pain.I took an acid blocker this tonight, and it stopped the hurting. But, I am quite the carnivore, and meat doesn't upset my stomach at all.

QUESTION: Recently I heard an explanation that there is no Palestine, since Palestine was just a Greek invention of a name for the Ancient Land of Israel, etc. But mostly the argument was about that Palestine can't exist b/c its just an old name for Israel. It said to look at it this way: Siam was an old name of Thailand, Persia was an old name of Iran, Burma was an old name for Myanmar. Similarly, Israel used to be called Canaan, the land of Israel ( eretz Israel in Hebrew) then Judea, then Palestine, then finally the modern day Israel. The question is: is Palestine a real country, or merely an old name for a country that was taken advantage of by the Arabs and do the modern day "Palestinians"( if we assume uncertainty) need to smell the roses and get on with their lives?

im still unsure if its right for me to do this. for the past 2 years ive been helping out with the classes. last yr i taught first graders 75% of the time. i love doing it, but in my heart, i am not fully reconciled with the catholic church. i believe in Jesus and all of that, but my relationship with him is very far from perfect. i pretty much believe in everything i am teaching the children, but at the same time i dont feel like im good enough??

i think im a good role model, the only thing im afraid i lack is spirituality. dont get me wrong, im comfortable teaching the kids, i find it wonderful and inspiring. im hoping being a catechist will bring me closer to God, but am i harming the children in the process?

ps~ the kids i taught seemed to have learned a lot and created a good catholic foundation.

I remember there was some trick to learn the level in a propane tamk. We're gonna have a BBQ and don't want to run out...but we haven't used it much. What is an easy way of determining how full the tank is...besides taking it in to get it filled...which may be very unnecessary... Thanks

was putting so much pressure on his brain that it caused a mini stroke.he recuperated fine and is here at home with us.what i want to know is ,is it safe for him to go bowling? hes got dementia too which worsened due to his brain injury.in order to bowl one needs a clear head to execute moves and to find your spot and throw the ball over that spot to make strikes and spares,i dont think dad will have the ability to do this anymore,what do you think? BE SERIOUS PLEASE!!

all of them proclaim to know God's intentions? I would argue the most legitimate opinions about God's intentions are the most radical fundamentalists that interpret their holy texts literally. Think about it. The only basis one would have to know God's will is the holy text, as the religion it has created is based solely on that book. If somebody interprets it in any way other than the literal interpretation, what is there basis for doing so? My point here is to show that if you truly believe in God, it is very arrogant to proclaim that God doesn't really mean what he says. Furthermore, when people do this they are demonstrating that, in terms of morality, we are the judge of what is right and wrong. Our morality is based on our own intuitions of right and wrong, not what God says. If what is right and wrong was based on what God says, that would make murder, rape, and slavery OK if God says it is. Anybody else see a problem with that?
