When asked the question "how many of you took private or charter jets to the debate tonight" (paraphrasing)...I believe all but one candidate slowly and sheepishly raised their hands.

Mr. Mike Gravel alone spoke up and said that he took...

A TRAIN.

Sure, he was frightfully angry for the whole debate, and hardly asked any questions, but you have to give the man some credit for acknowleging the incredible sexy that is the train.

So I guess the question is, does being a high powered political leader with a busy schedual make private jets ok, or should they take a little extra time and lead by example? What do you think is an appropriate tradeoff between time efficiency and environmental stewardship, especially coming from people who claim to want to lead us in the right direction?

I have a 50 gallon with 3 guppies 2 mollies and some fry. I bought a young silver angelfish yesterday and asked the guy if it would be okay with full grown guppies; and I knew they would eat small fry. He said it would be fine with my fish and it really shouldn't mess with my fry. After bringing home my angel and reading up on him; it seems the guy at the fish store was wrong about everything. What r ur opinions and experiences? I really like the angel and want to get more; but not if it jeopardizes my exisiting fish. TY for the info.

My understanding is that Christians believe that "Christ died for your sins" and that "God gave his only begotten son (John 3:16)" etc.

Yet it is also believed that Jesus the Christ is resurrected and alive in the flesh.

So where's the sacrifice? 'Give' is forever. If you give a thing up, that's sacrifice. If you get it back, that's no sacrifice. God got his 'Son' back, so he never 'gave' anything.

And don't give me the 'He suffered and died' bit. Lots of people suffer and die, and for good causes, too, and none of them has come back alive in the body, so their sacrifice is real.

Iran-Mexico-Joint Commission

Iran and Mexico reached an agreement to set up a joint economic commission next year.

In a meeting between Iran's new Ambassador to Mexico Mohammad Hassan Qadiri-Abyaneh with Mexican Deputy Foreign Minister Lurdes de Aranda the agreement was achieved.

Qadiri also invited Mexico to attend the Non-Aligned Movement foreign ministers meeting in Tehran on human rights and cultural diversities.

Iran's plenipotentiary and extraordinary ambassador to Mexico expounded on Tehran stances on regional issues, especially Iraq and the results of Iran-USA negotiations about Iraq security and said Islamic Republic of Iran policy is to support national sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Iraq.

Mexico deputy FM, for her part, said her country's policy is to support peace, security and independence of the countries and has always defended negotiation and dialogue as a way to solve disputes between the countries.

The Mexican senior diplomat also expressed her country's readiness to expand ties with Iran especially in cultural and economic fields.http://www2.irna.ir/en/news/view/line-22/0707225493010242.htm

Just a reminder to those U.S. Citizens unfamiliar with American history and relations with Mexico....Mexico has never, never been our friend. They tolerate us because they need us but their history of envy, hate and malfeasance has continued prior to the Texas Republic. It will continue as long as the arrogant elites of that country keep true democracy at bay and keep it’s people in abject poverty. Too bad we can’t (or won’t) effectively support a true overthrow of that country’s corrupt oligarchy. Not only do they send us their illegals but make a fortune sending drugs into the U.S. to poison our people, create immense levels of related crimes and fill our prisons with the offenders. Thank you Mexico, you’re a wonderful neighbor.

I told him I was stressed cause I didn't understand quantum physics, and he said "If you join scientolgy, you will learn that evrything is in your head, you can raise your IQ with scientology"
It freaked me out cause he wouldn't let me walk away.

I was the dorm leader at a Christian kid's camp over the summer. I had five girls in my dorm ages 8, 10, 11, 11, and 12. We were together for five days.

I'm writing a generic letter and then I'm going to personalize a bit of it for each girl. I got pictures developed and I'm going to send those as well as a CD with the same pictures plus a video on it. I've also included a picture of myself from a team I was on at school.

Do you have any other ideas that won't be too costly? I want this to be a fun and encouraging package that they receive in the mail. I don't want to spend too much money though. I also don't want to get too many things or things that will be too heavy because that will cause the shipping price to increase a bunch.

Thanks so much!

Clearly people in this section like tattoos, have tattoos, and want an easy place to talk about it. But every once in a while people come here to attack tattoos and piercings--they say it will make you sterile, leads to drugs and pregnancy, makes you look trashy, or you will always regret your decision no matter what--and to generally convince everyone on here to not get tattoos and piercings by spreading lies and fanaticism.

I am not sterile, pregnant, on drugs, I don't look trashy and I sure don't hate myself for my actions. I am a decent person, my piercings do not make me any worse than you. Do any of these people stop to think that tattoos and piercings aren't always gotten for style or a fad--but a lot of these piercings and tattoos have a lot of meaning? Some do it to honor deceased loved ones, or proclaim a faith. I highly doubt those people will regret it, or are trashy, horrible people.
