I have had ongoing problems for years with my husband and control, seeking dominance over me and our children, but I think I have come out of the dark the past couple of years as to what he is doing and how to get around it to maintain my independence and self respect while I figure out how to end this relationship safely and financially for my childrens sake. Right now, I see his grasping at financial control more than ever to maintain his sense of dominance...its all he has left basically. He is refusing to pay his childrens dental bills, health insurance, provide money for school clothes. He will come across occasionally with $100 or so for gas and some groceries (there are 5 children involved). He says that unless his demands are met on how he is treated in this family, he will not pay nothing. Then, he says he is the man of the house and he will pay everything that needs to be bought and provided in his own way..whatever that means. Mean ing if he sees fit. Opionions please....

Even with the outcome seemingly correcting the problem there still is the matter of what would have been the outcome if it was a twenty five year old who had been arrested for crack a year ago and not a 92 year old .

I have always thought that if you are in a relationship, and get cheated on, that it is not the other man/woman's fault. It was your partner's fault. However, is it different if the person is a total stranger to your family? What if the person knows you and your family? Shouldn't that person have to suffer some kind of consequence? Why should they have nothing happen to them when your life is now in shambles? Would it be fair to stand outside their apartment complex and yell loud enough for the neighbors to hear that she's a homewrecking *****? My car is making a squeaking/chipring sound. It's only when it is in drive, and never when it's idling. It has a pattern to it (chirp cirp chirp, chirp, chirp...) and it's pretty constant. I don't know if a belt is starting to slip or what, but I really need help figuring out what it is.

i attend a lutheran church. everything taught at the church is biblical, but i don't agree with the practice of confirmation. i think it's a bit redundant for a person to have to take classes in order to become worthy of taking Communion, when the Blood itself makes us worthy. what disagreement do you have with your church?
