By director James Cameron? It is said that between 45-75 minutes were cut by James Cameron in order to shorten the already long film.
One thing that I read was that, among those cut scenes, was a scene that showed Second Officer Lightoller surviving the sinking and on his way to RMS Carpathia. Actually, I knew that Lightoller survived Titanic and was the most senior surviving officer to survive this disaster. However, Cameron's cut scenes gave some hint that it was Fifth Officer Lowe who was the most senior officer to survive. This really pissed me off; for although Cameron did not show that Lightoller died (and so was the case with Wilde), by cutting this scene he made many believe that Lightoller did not survive.
I really wish someone would describe in detail the cut scene which shows that Lightoller survived Titanic. I also must admit that I'm a big fan of Jonathan Phillips who brilliantly played Lightoller. He was so superb!
