Well, where does one start .... or end, for that matter, with answers to a questions like this, thanks Digilook, for the potentialities of vision you have thrown up.

My first, of the cuff, response is to say that the journey is everything, as several enlightened ones have already said, the same ones I just gave the thumbs-up to !

Then, on the next level I real-ise that the very word 'journey' can be misleading, because the greatest truth of all is that when we are 'done', as some put it, then we real-ise that we never left, that was all the 'smoke and mirrors' of the illusion that we invoked upon ourselves.

Then I think of one of my favourite quotes from Marcel Proust : "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes. "

Then I real-ise, thanks to a couple of the answers, that it is also easy to get attached to the idea of prospective 'completion' of the 'journey' and there being therefore some kind of 'end state' in which all 'movement' ceases. And this is clearly ( to me at least ) not the case, this physical Universe level is just one of countless realms in which we can continue to grow and expand, and we are 'change', we cannot help but continue the process.

So in the end I come back to some words that always echo through by beingness,

"It's the questions that drive us"

I believe that it is the journey that is the 'objective', and we are the subjects, and as we are 'objects' in a subjective Universe, rather than vice versa, then it follows that we are 'The Journey' !, i.e. It is that ( the journey ) that I am.

Edit : two hours later

I am knocked out again, I just read the latest bulletin from CWG/Neale Donald Walsche, and he is giving the last in a series of messages about who we really are, and, of course, the journey. Neale is a great member of the 'Cosmic Cluster' and I have been benefitting from his insights for several years. His conclusion to the series resonates so strongly with me that I quote it here, the rest of the message can be found at the url below :

Quote :

Now let those who have ears to hear, listen. This is the reason: growth. This is the purpose: expansion. This is the experience: ecstasy. The happiness and the wonder and the glory of re-creation. The joy of giving birth. To Ourselves. Once Again. In the next grandest version of the greatest vision ever we held about Who We Are.

As Conversations with God explained to us in the very first dialogue, this is the purpose of all of life. Each time we merge with The All and emerge once again, we enlarge the Self. This is something that has not been widely explained by our world's religions or deeply comprehended by our world's people.

Yet now we are able to more fully understand the Eternal Journey of the Soul, the Endless Cycle of Life, and the Will of God.

Thank you Cosmic Brother Neale, from the bottom of my heart, all my hearts.

At the end of it all, the only thing asked of you would be 'Did you love?'

...so, it's the journey, not the destination, but you journey with an eye on the destination or you may go off-course.

very good question. The journey is constantly taking twists and turns. We dont recall the beginning of our journey, but I am sure that it was filled with great fear, but our memories dont allow us to recall that part, then we journey forward. Life is really hard, sad. Most of us fear the final destination. Fear of the unknown. Perhaps the final destination will be like the beginning destination fearful, but it will take us on yet another journey and we will forget the final destination. CONFUSING? perhaps sorry.

The journey is temporary. The destination is eternal. I think to God our destination is more important.

I think the journey is the whole point, I can't grasp the concept of the destination being important at all.

To me, the journey is everything & the destination can change depending on the twists & turns of the journey. Therefore it is the journey that I must focus on & allow the destination to unfold in time.

Love & good wishes on your journey.

I think my journey is endless and that I have to not become attached to the idea of destinations or in fact my own journey as that inhibits my ability to grow. Namaste

The Journey became that of an "explorer", where wonder never ceases. And love does prevail.
