Of course it is.... just be careful that you dont leak and that you keep changing your pad or tampons.

For beach or pools, I recommend using tampons.

Dont ever let your period keep you from doing the things you want!

I don't think it's kosher since you will be sharing the water with others (if you are talking about the Jewish religion). I believe that is what I was told growing up, but I'm not 100 % positive. If you are saying kosher as in is it accepted, I think all the other answers let you know that it is acceptable. Can it be done, of course, we have our own pool at home and I can get in by myself whenever, but yes, you would want to use a tampon.

Tampons are your friend!

Also - it's best to know your cycle really well - some women will bleed really heavily during 1 or 2 days of their cycle, and even then going to the pool is risky.

But if you're prepared then everything will be chicken soup.

As long as you have tampons with you, you should be okay to go. :) If a woman has her period when at the beach or pool, the only way to take care of it, if she plans on wearing a bathing suit, is to use a tampon.

Yes, there's certainly no problem with it at all. I'm sure that hundreds of women go swimming while on their period every day (I have). Just wear a tampon so you will not bleed externally. Make sure you bring extra tampons and change regularly. Nobody will know, and you'll be able to enjoy yourself.

Of course you can. however, if you are going to go in the water at all, you HAVE to wear a Tampon. A pad will swell up like a diaper in the water.
