I've always noticed how people have to be "convinced" by a ruling elite that they need to attack another country or large group before they will do it. Does anyone have an example of a countries population spontaneously attacking another without government or other elite coercion?

One Christmas Eve, a frenzied young man ran into a pet shop looking for an unusual Christmas gift for his wife. The shop owner suggested a parrot, named Chet, which could sing famous Christmas carols. This seemed like the perfect gift. "How do I get him to sing?" The young man asked, excitedly. "Simply hold a lighted match directly under his feet." was the shop owner's reply.

The shop owner held a lighted match under the parrot's left foot. Chet began to sing: "Jingle Bells! Jingle Bells! ..." The shop owner then held another match under the parrot's right foot. Then Chet's tune changed, and the air was filled with: " Silent Night, Holy Night..."

The young man was so impressed that he paid the shop-keeper and ran home as quickly as he could with Chet under his arm. When the wife saw her gift she was overwhelmed.

I try to move my son to a toddler bed but he just gets up and walks away. The side of his crib comes off to become a toddler bed. I take it off, put him in it, read his story, say night night and walk away. Then he just gets up and comes out. I take him back in and do the same thing 9 or 10 times, then I put the side back on his crib and he goes right to sleep. Will this eventually work or am I going about it the wrong way?

Serious question here. I read many of these questions and comments daily that blast the military are regurgitating ideology about what we should and should not do. Yet hardly any of the ones speaking like this has the courage or seems the intelligence to join the military. So why is it that so many who know so little about what it is like to be a service member claim to know what is best for those who truly serve. "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." --Mark Twain.

I recently (3 days ago) had a colonic, yesterday I woke up with my left glands in the neck painful and swollen. Then, this morning the left side was fine, but my right gland was swollen and painful. Does this have anything to do with my colonic? Should I be concerned? I don't feel sick or anything that usually goes along with swollen glands...

why do the illegal immigrants say they are taking jobs the americans wont take. they aren't, they're taking jobs the americans will take for honest pay, but the immigrants are taking those jobs for almost no pay, so the employers are laying off the americans and hireing the immigrants. so no they aren't taking the jobs americans won't, they are taking the jobs from the americans.

Since his family lives on a farm, his mother asks if he has done his chores. "Not yet," said the little boy. His mother tells him no breakfast until he does his chores.

Well, he's a little pissed, so he goes to feed the chickens, and he kicks a chicken. He goes to feed the cows, and he kicks a cow. He goes to feed the pigs, and he kicks a pig.

He goes back in for breakfast and his mother gives him a bowl of dry cereal. "How come I don't get any eggs and bacon? Why don't I have any milk in my cereal?" he asks.

"Well, his mother says, "I saw you kick a chicken, so you don't get any eggs for a week. saw you kick the pig, so you don't get any bacon for a week either. also saw you kick the cow, so for a week you aren't getting any milk."

Just then, his father comes down for breakfast and kicks the cat halfway across the kitchen.

The little boy looks up at his mother with a smile, and says, "Are you going to tell him, or should I?"
