It depends on the substance being measured and the quantity of the substance. If you are measuring small amount of water you might use a measuring cup calibrated in ounces or tablespoons or teaspoons.

If you are measuring the length of a short line you might use an engineer's triangular ruler. If measuring long distances you might use radar or sonar.

2. Measur. out a known quantity such as a quarter teaspoon. Measure the weight of that quantity on an accurate scales. Then count the number of grains in the quarter teaspoon. Then determine the number of teaspoons in a pound and multiply this by the number of grains per 1/4 teaspoon.

3. square measure is area ( length Xwidth). It gives you the number of square units in a two dimensional figure. Cubic measure (lengthXwidth X height gives you voume in cubic units of a 3-dimensional solid.

4. 2(6+11) = 2*17= 34 inches

5. If you draw the altitude of the parallelogram from one of the upper corners to the base, you will form a right triangle which if moved to the other side of the paralleloram woul give you a rectangle congruent to the rectangle having the same base and altitude.

this could be a trick question no longer because of the content cloth cloth, yet because of the assumed answer. there is no lacking dollar. the section that each and every physique human beings messes up on is the equation. this is honestly that $9 x 3= $27 and that the bell boy has $2, yet you isn't able to upload ($27 + $2) on a similar time. Why? because of the fact, If the bell boy is given $5 back, and he wallet $2, then there is in simple terms $3 left. The bell boy then divides that $3 into 3 (for each and all the boys). meaning each and each and each and each guy gets $a million, no longer $3, which equals $3 money back in total. So, the quantity lacking is $2, which the bell boy already has. Plus, the cost of the inn is now no longer $30 yet $25. hence, the breakdown is as follows: the cost of the inn is $25 ($30-$5). The bell boy has $2. each and each and each and all the boys have $a million = $3 in total. 25 + 2 + a million+ a million + a million = 30. no longer something lacking, although $30.

1. What you are going to measure and the tools that you have determine the units.

2. How much does one grain of rice weigh?

3. Square is area, or length by width, (ft x ft = sq ft)
Cubic is volume, lenght by width by height, (ft x ft x ft = cubic ft)

4. Perimeter is 2*length + 2*width so it would be

2(6) + 2(11)

And number five is hard to answer so you will need some one else's help for that one.
