Tattoos feel like a really bad sunburn. They start feeling that way soon after the person starts tattooing. They are irritating, but I wouldn't say they hurt, not in the way a piercing does.

It depends on how much pain you can tolerate and where it is and how much fat you have on your body. It's not as bad as a piercing and there is no pain afterwards. If your tattoo streches out near the spine, at the spine you will feel a prickling sensation in other parts of you body. When then needle got to my spine i could fine pain in my right arm. But, that was me. If you are really skinny you will feel more pain because the needle will then be tapping the bone. i.e. the collarbone tats are painful. But even fatty places can be the worst like the underside of the arm because thats where nerve ending are. But i have a tat where you do and it only hurt as it got closer to the spine.

Everyone's pain tolerance is different, but they will inject ink into your skin with a needle, so obviously it will hurt some. How bad it hurts will depend on where you get it and how well you tolerate pain. Upper back shouldn't hurt too bad, but the closer it is to your neck the more it will hurt. At least that's what I thought when I got one in that area.

They hurt. But can be addicting. It all depends on how much pain you can take. Some hurt more than others. The skill of the artist is importanat too. They are quicker and gentler if they know what they are doing. I have four and they all hurt. Some a lil bit some a lot.

YES! Asking if it hurts means you don't know anything about tattoos. They're dragging a needle under your skin, depositing ink along the way. It hurts anywhere you get it, and it hurts a LOT. Maybe you're not ready if you didn't know this.

Yes, it will hurt. I can't say whether you'll find it a mild hurt or whether you'll find it excruciating because everyone has a different pain tolerance. I've found from experience that it doesn't bother me much until after about the 90 minute mark.

It depends on your threshold of pain and the artist and their skill. One of my tattoos hurt more than the rest but the guy that did it was not the one that did my others b/c I moved.

I have six of them and they didn't hurt. It was more of an uncomfortable feeling but not so much pain. everyone is different and so is there pain tolerance. This is something you would have to do to really find out for your self.
