Are they going to hijack our military planes when the troops leave, or are they going to fly commercial? Seriously, how are they going to get here?

I'm Brazilian. I live in Brazil and this question is for real. I don't want to compare Brazil to the US. Brazil has gone through a long period of dictatorship, without any democracy at all, unfortunally. But I know some americans and notice there are very few of them (almost nobody) who can tell me why the US has been so much attacked recently not only with bombs and other physical threats but also in the international press (in Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania, South and Central Americas, everywhere). So the public opinion in the US is completely unaware of the reasons of so much hate against their country. There is the international media and then there is the US media which creates its own reality to be broadcasted and believed by 99% of their public. Is that democracy when you can't judge without any reliable information?

Either god exists or doesn't, so it is 50/50 chance, right?

I can see now why there are so many 'believers'. The reason why they were no good in science (and why they are so antagonistic towards it) is because they were no good at mathematics, the foundation of science. I guess it is better to say schitzophrenic, b/c they simultaneously admire it and hate it!

I am sure that the same people don't understand the mathematics of political voting, and the fact that your vote counts the same mathematically no matter how you cast it (i.e. voting for a winner or someone with a better 'chance' to win has no bearing whatsoever, under any circumstances, on the value of your vote). I wish that the 2000 election had come down to 1 vote. Then we could have paraded the last person who voted and said "how did they do it?". They could go on Oprah and CNN, and we could all just regard them in complete awe and amazement.

I am currently on maternity leave, my baby is due July 18th 07. I am aware that I will be on maternity leave for 39 weeks. My question is if i want to work part time, say when my baby is a few months old (as I have to pay bills still, and really can't survive on maternity pay) is this legal? Can I have a part time job elsewhere and still have maternity pay? Or do i need to inform my employer or quit with them first??? Any help would be great!

Is it because it's difficult to see if there is something approaching? Who has priority?

When an agnostic person dies, and they are a good person, with good morals, what do you think will happen to them? Will they go to heaven even though they did not believe in a certain religion, but because they were a good person? Or will they go to hell because even though they were a good person, they did not fully believe in god? Or something else?

Her music speaks to me.
But the way she sings about nature, and dietys, etc...etc...
you'd think she was pagan... But I'd really like to know. Because I'm a pagan and I'd love to know of another who I am a fan of their music with. So anyone know?

Blessed Be

I hear a lot of stories that the Western Allies won the land war in Europe in World War II by using their numerical superiority (i.e. four Shermans to knock out one Panther?). What about one-on-one combat? Were there any variants of the Sherman or the British infantry tanks capable of holding up against any of the German Panthers, Tiger I or Tiger II in one-on-one combat?
