I recently re-installed windows xp and everything was wiped. I've reinstalled direct x 9.0c to my C drive and for some reason im still not able to initialize Direct 3D i've checked my DXdiag and all the features are not available. Did i do something wrong?

I now know that the debates between atheists and religious people and also cults are an attempt by the religious and/or cults to convince the fence sitters to join them. They who read and sit by like watching a tennis match. They are lost who need to be saved. But what purpose do atheists have for trying to convince "idiots" (in their minds) to believe what they believe. Is there a benefit for someone that's just going to not exist when they die. Why bother? Live life for yourself since there is no point to do it for someone else. Enlighten me.

my betta fry hatched just today but a lot of them sank to the bottom of the tank. they're still moving though but barely...the daddy betta doesn't seem to notice (or just chose not to? LOL!) that there are fry at the bottom...will they die?

My niece has a BS in economics and can't decide about law school.
She is very kind, a truly lovable human being, but being so smart has cost her any number of relationships with men, because she is so perceptive she can tell she is in some way incompatible with each. This is so depressing. Should she marry knowing it won't work out?
She can't do that. She has too much respect for the institution of marriage and doesnt' want a divorce.
Where are the empathetic brilliant guys in the U.S. who would like to marry?
My niece doesn't know I'm asking, and would be embarrassed, but I can't help myself.
You are supposed to marry someone, if possible, within 5 IQ points of your own IQ.

My xbox 360 seems to have the ability to switch to 1080p so that i might be able to watch a 1080p movie but my projector will only support up to a 1080/60i and a 1080/24PsF. Any ideas?

I bought a camera film without ma knoeledge that it will give me some complications. its a fujifim 36 exp cr type and when i loaded it with ma stuff and it was ready for processing, all tha photo labs rejcted itn saying they cant process it coz its a slide or somthing like that! i tried to go back to the lab where i bought it but they pnly admitted that they just sell it but they dont process coz the machins to process it they dont have. I'm not single, I've been in a happy relationship for 3 years. But, most of my friends are single or who are in very casual relationships.

I find that a good majority (not all) are very loose in the sexual aspects of their relationships. Now, I believe in pre-marital sex. I'm not against it, but there is a difference between having sex in a meaningful relationship and then having casual sex.

I find a lot of my friend have sex in casual ways. When I was younger, I had a one night stand. I regretted it and have never done it since. I disrespected myself that night. What do the Christians here think of incest? I find it interesting that the Bible speaks against incest, though it was REQUIRED many many times...?

In case you're confused... think about Adam and Eve's children and how they had to procreate together...

And what about Noah's family? His children had to procreate with each other...

AND... if it wasn't bad enough that brothers and sisters had to have sex, but their children had to do it too... at best they'd have to procreate with their cousins!

I guess the argument always went that DNA/genes were much cleaner, stronger then... I don't think that argument holds any water, and besides, I'M GLAD I WASN'T ALIVE AT THE TIME

I'm interested in getting the $100 "Standard" version (nuance.com/naturallyspeaking) because I type so much and I'm trying to take care of my hands (it's just for home, not work). Can you still use keyboard and mouse for private emails and the like? Stuff you don't want people to hear? And how well does it surf the net, etc. Basically, is it worth the money?
