Ignore the mess on the antique turntable - my kids left it for me.... I think the area above the fireplace needs something, but the space above the tv I'm most worried about. I'm trying to spend as little as possible.

Last one is dark but it gives an idea to the amount of space between the prints:

I found 2 different 12 x 12 canvases at Target, to possibly go inbetween:

Or this sconce, but DH doesn’t want more candles:

Other idea from Kohls:

TIA!!

I think that the pictures (which are beautiful) on the fireplace wall should be moved to above the TV, the prints are hard to read on the already busy bricks wall. However the one small print could be left out or at least one more that size needs to be added to it. The balance is just off with only one small print among 2 larger ones.

For the fireplace wall, have you considered hanging a wood mantle? I know you said you want to spend as little money as possible.

I would place 2 tall plants on each side of the fireplace. Something rather tall in height, but not taller than the fireplace its self.

I would place one large item on the fireplace wall, such as a clock.

IMHO, I would also paint the ceiling a lighter shade of the wall color to blend the ceiling in with the rest of the room, a very very light color.

1] make a family photo gallery of 8 x 10 or 10 x 13 inch photos - there should be six or so in a row, across the wall. with tops level with existing pix.
2] make a swag of greens, with gold and rust? maroon?
flowers and/or ribbons.
3] add some throw pillows in the rust and gold, too!
