The first part might be the events leading to war, such as colonial grievances against the Proclamation of 1763, the Stamp Act, and the so-called "Intolerable Acts" (passed in retaliation for the Boston Tea Party). All of these contributed to the outbreak of hostilities in 1775 at Concord and Lexington, MA. Then the war itself would be the second part (you might also break it into the period before French intervention and the period after). The government under the Articles of Confederation would be the third part.

Please, reform your question so that people can better understand exactly what you are trying to inquire about.

As to the first answer, 1763 would be the end of the French-indian war.

So perhaps, the answer to your question could be the pre-revolution period(peaceful and sometimes not so peaceful resistance to British Rule), the revolutionary period(actual warfare), and the post-revolutionary period(the mostly peaceful struggle for how we were to rule ourselves).

3 part event?

I would say the French and Indian wars war the 1st part.

The second part would be from the declaration of independence to the Articale of confederation.

And the 3rd would be the Constitution.
