Is it me or does it seem like the market for baseball cards, even old ones, has depreciated (gone down in value)? I have a few rookie Dave Winfield. Years ago, I had once checked the value and it was worth $100. Now, EBAY says it is $8-12. Now, I know they are NOT making more of these cards, so is it just that EBAY and internet has increased the supply of these cards to the market. Same with my autographed baseballs of Pete Rose, Steve Carolton, Johnny Bench, Nolan Ryan and many others. I have every Topps cards from 1984 to 1995 as well. I just don't see the "sold my baseball card collection to put kid through college" stories anymore. Or am I totally missing something? I guess part of the autograph stuff is you need certificate of authenticity due to so many scams. I guess for me I handed them the ball to sign so its just memories with no value on the marketplace. But my cards???

I think it may be Chinese, but I'm not sure. This is the name of my favourite Chinese restaurant on Spadina Ave. in Toronto. The BBQ pork is incredible. We just call it "The Yellow Sign" because it's easier to pronounce, and, of course, the sign is yellow.

I did some research but would like to double check.
I heard that, natural sugars e.g. being in fruit are okay as they're a complex carbohydrate and are absorbed by the body slowly so the insulin doesn't come quickly, whereas if you take a simple carb, the insulin kicks in fast to bring the blood sugar level down. When the insulin kicks in, triglyceride comes in which is converted from calories and stored as fat. So basically it all comes down to natural sugar being a complex (good) carbohydrate.
Is that correct?

Also, should I still not 'avoid' but not eat complex carbs if unnecessary. Just because they're not as bad as simple carbs, they're still not great... right?

I think that companies like Cingular creatively promoted "kiddie" phones that could text only. made them popular for children, and now have created a market for text messaging which is driven by chidren through an advertising campaign designed to get chidren to aggravate their parents into succumbing to the request for a device and service.
