Shame on you Bob H. True New England Clam Chowder can only come from one place: a true New England kitchen. Even if it is true that many will open a can of the new Campbell's chowder in a pinch. ;-)
That said, in addition to Legal Seafoods, I came across a site called, "The Lobster Guy." While I haven't had his chowder it sure looks good and the website has several interesting stories about him.

The question was who ships New England chowder to California. Despite protest to the contrary, Legal Seafood does ship chowder of different types, among other things, anywhere in the continental US. Might want to consider it, if you're not familiar with any other restaurants who ship.

This last person was referring to the Oyster House. I would recommend Summer Shack and stay away from Legal Seafoods.

It's not at all hard to make, make some yourself. It would be more meaningful!! Try the food network or allrecipes.com
