This happened about a month ago. I worked for a company for only two days. The superinendant on the job laid me off. He did not make sure he had all the documents to legally employ me. The main bigwigs of his company got very angry at him and he laid me off to get rid of the issue or something... I was paid for the two days and still have my pay stubs. Is there anyway I could get compensation for something like this? I mean I was laid off and it was not my fault at all... I was a very hard worker. Any answer would be greatly appreciated.

I've noticed quite a few answers suggest NOT tipping waiters because there is a service charge. Waiters are generally so poorly paid and usually depend on the tips to make up a good wage for the tiring and patience trying job they do! We always tip 10% wherever we eat, as long as the waiter is polite, clean and adequately efficient. So don't be mean...put yourself in his/her shoes (bunions and callouses and all!) Don't you agree?

I have been searching for photos of my father for over 12 years... he passed when I was seven years old.... I am now 35. I had a wonderful father, but due to a fire didn't have a photo of him since age 7. An aunt who I have not seen since that time, sent me photos last week (via mail) and I finally have two photos of him. It has meant the world to me. Can you help me write a thank you card that will accompany flowers? Thank you!

there's a series of lsd vids on youtube, and they did an experiment on this one guy (sorry forgot name, it's in the video)- he took acid, while another man ("normal" state of mind) sat there and interviewed him, and the man who was tripping, said he escaped to these other realities which seemed to last for months- but on tape its just a few seconds...
so...
do you think it's the "druggie effect"
or...
is it a possible indicator that there's parallel realities?
i mean what if that was the way we were meant to see things.
take insects don't they see colors we can't perceive-
so maybe we're just blind to what's 'out there' just as we can't see molecules/atoms- they're still there.
so what if colors really did speak, and sounds really were colored?
or is it a stoner's paradise?

I noticed it when it looked like I had some kind of build up in my nipple. I cleaned it out and then black stuff came out. My other one did the same thing but it was kind of a pale, light green (or I guess it could have been clear). It turned out to be kind of sticky, and only comes out when I try to make it come out (the first tme was by accident). What is it? Is it bad?

Hi,

Hope someone can help,

I have quite basic knowledge of website building but my friend is starting a new website and I have some serious concerns. She's paying a designer £12,000 which she's funding with a loan to design a website for her, it's a website where people can sell cars and upload their own descriptions of the cars and also pictures and all she has to do is click and approve the ads through an admin manager.

My question is; Is 12k a reasonable price and if not is there any software that I can use to do it for her easily?

I built my website with frontpage and it's not too shabby but has little functionality like the kind she's looking for.

I took today off as I genuinely do feel rough with the flu, So I phoned in to work etc and the secretary told my boss she said "xxxxx has the flu and wont be in" my boss said "I'm sure he does" but anyway I got fed up and went to look something for the flu but needed to go to the bank to get money, my card wouldn't work so had to go into the branch, there I was getting my money when who comes in behind me only my boss "Hello Mr XXXX" he said I don't think he was to happy and now I'm dreading tomorrow, I mean I am genuinely sick, its not a sackable offence is it??
