I haven't really had the feeling of liking a guy since i was really little, you know always dreaming and thinking about him and getting that shy and wonderful feeling everytime he walked by. Im 17 now and i don't really know anyone i like. I am terribly lonely and would like to start going with someone again but i want someone who truly cares about me, and i don't know what to do. Should i just try going with someone i some what like? Will i ever get that feeling again?

I just inherited a year-old water turtle and he looks like he could use a friend to swim with. anyone know what, if any, other aquatic or reptilian animals can live with a water turtle? as far as i've read he'll eat most other potential roommates unless it's another turtle. he's in a 20 gallon tank, water filled halfway with a rock dock for basking.

Forgiveness is not an easy process, and if one says I forgive before he or she has worked through emotions to be able to let go of the events, freedom from thoughts about what was done is not obtained. So it is not real forgiveness.

But real forgiveness can free you from having to think about the person or people who caused the pain, even if they have been unrepentant and got away with what they did.

I would like to know what techniques others use to work through this. And in doing so, how do you avoid just numbing yourself emotionally? And how do you avoid using forgiveness as an excuse for not doing what you morally need to do, such as speaking out against the sort of abuse that was done, helping other victims,etc?

Before any of them can pick it up , a genie pops out . The genie says he can grant 3 wishes , one for each of them .
The Canadian says " My father was a farmer , I'm a farmer , and my son shall be a farmer .... I wish for Canada to be forever fertile farming land " . Poof !! And it was done !!
Osama was amazed , so he said " I want an impenetrable wall to be built around Afghanistan , Iran , and Iraq . One that would hold all believers of Radical Islam inside , and all Jews , Americans and othe infidels outside "... .Poof !! and much to his suprise , it was done !!
The American engineer says " I'm curious about this wall , tell me more about it " . So the genie says " The wall is 5000 ft high, 500 ft thick , and totally impenetrable . Now what is your wish "?

We just bought a home a few days ago for $80K. But it appraised at $83K. So we have $3K in equity. How soon can we borrow that $3K? We'd love to borrow it now so we can use it to make improvements on the home (thus increasing our equity even more).
And even if we can, is it a good or bad idea to do that so soon?

How do you explain using Biblical text the variety of apearances of people. I have never seen anyone look both black and white and brown and yeallow, both blue eyed and brown eyed. Genesis came from the middle eastern Abrahamic traditions shared by Christianity, judaism and Islam. The people that wrote the Bible were essentially Arabic in appearance and would not have had light skined, black or blue eyed people amongst their tribes at the time the scriptures were written?
