I am currently in Singapore, and in the city. Most of the stars are barely visible, but one of them stand out quite boldly. I had a few thoughts that it may be a UFO, but I feel that it is most likely not the conclusion. What do you think it is?

I forgot to add, it appears to have a green and red light in close proximity to the central object. My friends also claim that they see it as triangle shaped. I think it is in the northwest.

If it's in the west just after sunset then it's Venus
If its in the south-east after sunset it's Jupiter

Well, Micky, you're not much help.
Where in the sky are you talking about?
In the west north-west after dusk, Venus is pretty bright at this time. Saturn is nearby, but it's quite dim and not at all easy to see near the city.
In the south at about midnight, Jupiter gets fairly bright.
That's about all that you might see near so many city lights.

If it is visible in the West, not moving (not a plane) and the time is within a couple hours after sunset, it is Venus. Also look for Saturn, it will be dimmer, but nearby. You can get a star chart from www.astronomy.com or from www.heavens-above.com to see what is visible in your area.

It could be the planet Venus. Usually it is brighter then any other stars. or another explanation if it is moving then it could be the International Space Station from which the solar panels reflects the light from Sun towards earth.
