In the original Hebrew, the sentence is that G-d created man "b'tzelem Elokim", which yes, can be loosely translated as "in G-d's image".
But analyzing with more detail the Bible, we will find in Genesis the following sentence:
"Then the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." (Genesis 2, 7)
So we may see that the "G-d's image" component of man is, exclusively, the person's soul.
---
Related to the physical appearance of the prophets (included Moses), I don't know if they looked essentially Arabic or not. I think there probably were light-skinned prophets.
Who most surely looked Arabic were Ishmael (the patriarch of Islam) and his descendants, at least in the first generations.

The power that man calls God has no form, is without birth and is without death. This we call an infinite being!
There is a thing called an image, that which is seen in a mirror. That which is seen in a mirror are the qualities and actions of that which is created. Love, Compassion, Mercy, Tolerance, Patience, etc.............
This is the image that is touched on in all the Scriptures and Holy books of all the Religions and Spiritual paths.
It is the qualities within man that must be mirrored that represents Gods qualities.
God is within man and man is within God. This is that mirror!
Such is the saying: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." As above, so is below"
These are mirrors to give man an understanding of mans true birthright, "Unity with God".
Well spoken, Bar_enosh...Wisdom is alive and well!

That is why you need to look into Krsna Book . All the answers you seek are there. Judge for your self.
Krsna The Supreme Personality of Godhead
Ch 70 Lord Krsna's Daily Activities
"My dear Lord, You are the eternal form of transcendental bliss and knowledge. As such, You are beyond the reach of the mental speculation or vocal description of any materialistic man within this world. A slight portion of Your glories can be known by persons who are fully surrendered unto Your lotus feet, and by Your grace only such persons become freed from all material anxieties.

super question. Yahweh (God) is a spirit. we are a spirit, have soul (strategies, will and thoughts) and stay in a actual physique. while Yahweh created guy, woman substitute into aside of guy. undergo in strategies Adam fell right into a deep sleep and a "rib" substitute into bumped off. i think the greater literal translation may well be that all and sundry which fluctuate into lady substitute into removed from Adam. as a effect the two (human) sexes we are responsive to. attempting to place human traits to God is pointless. that would desire to be very like taking the motor vehicle and comparing it to horse and buggy. there are particular traits that we've inherited from Yahweh- yet no longer all traits. in simple terms because of the fact the motor vehicle has particular traits which may well be traced decrease back to the pony and buggy-- yet no longer all. as an occasion seat belts. The good judgment might stick to that horse and buggies would not have existed because of the fact there wasn't a seat belt in them subsequently autos have consistently been. (do you notice the illogical progression right here?)

He did not come to earth looking like an alien,he had a head, two eyes, a nose, a mouth, two arms and two legs, etc.
The color of His eyes, teeth, skin, hair, was unimportant in the discription. It was to let us know, that He even though He was God,had came in a human form made of flesh, bone and blood. He was able to be ,hungery, thirsty, injured, bleed, suffer emotionally as well as physically.
So that nobody could ever say, that He wouldn't understand all the pains and sufferings of man, because He didn't have flesh and blood and never walked the face of earth in a limited body form.

God would look like humans in the most pure form
i hate saying it this way b/c of it doesn't imply that we instead look like Him but that's the only way i can think of
i too have also contemplated on God's skin color and ethnic look, Him being arabic looking makes sense but i'm still not sure, i guess we'll find out when we get to heaven

I dont believe God physically looks like us. I belive that when God created man in his image, it meant in a spiritual sense eg a soul, a conscience etc. Though of course i could be completely wrong and God could look like us..one day i'll know =]
God bless

I think it just means his form. Not literally his features and skin color/eye colour etc. I know it may sound a bit stupid, but he created people with one head/two arms/two legs and other various parts-this resembled himself and how the human race would go on to look.

I don't take anything stated in the bible literally, you’re not meant to, as it’s one big metaphor. I don't necessarily believe in the biblical god but I believe god is the atom, which is almost everywhere.

There is a scipture on what God looks like. White hair I think.
Ezekiel 1:26-28, “Above the expanse over their heads was what looked like a throne of sapphire, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man. I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him. Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him.” Revelation 1:14-16, “His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.”
