Does anyone know about broken thumbs?

I broke my thumb last week by accidentally getting it slammed by a car door. The break was in the area of the nail bed just above the end knuckle. The doctors placed a pen to hold the bone together while it heals. In a month they will pull it out and I'll begin physical therapy. What are my chances of being able to completely use the thumb again?

What time do your children go to bed (around 8-9 yrs)?

I have two boys and they share a bedroom. The only trouble is my eldest son who is 8 and a half says he's not tired when I put him to bed at half 8 and they end up mucking about and I end up tearing my hair out! What do you do about co-workers who talk to themselves?

I have a co-worker, who sits right on the other side of the wall from me, who talks to herself loudly and constantly, in addition she finds that she needs to get things from the closet behind me when I am interviewing people!

To make matters worse she is the President/CEO's assistant and if I brought it up to him she would know that it was ME! Which would make things so incredibly awkward.

I need a way to deal with this before I kill her~ HELP.

it should be more than 1 bcoz except 1 mutiplied by 0 all the numbers are more than 1

4th of July?

I want to make a firework type thing, but not for 4th of July my mom thinks it is an explosive:

I figured it out this morning, I would get three empty shotgun shells and filll them with gun powder.

put those ignition strings into the three top holes of the shells.

light it.

then BOOM and I know it wont be very big bc the shells I am going to use aren't very big

is there a problem in that ( it is going to be on a big concrete area on my own land )

Mathematical Question - Algebra and Numeracy?

This is less of a question, and more of a surprising statement, but does anyone agree with this? Here is the problem in question:

x = 0.9999...
10x = 9.9999...
10x-x = 9
9x = 9
x = 1

(Sorry about the '=' signs not lining up, the software has done this)

Now look at how the first and last answer vary. If I started with 'x' equalling 0.9999 recurring, how does the last answer mean 'x' equals 1?

Any answers?
