What pic's of the 50s are you looking at?

Back then they wanted curly hair!
Ever hear of pincurls, ragcurls, fingercurls?

I have never heard of that. My aunt used to iron her hair on the ironing board with a flat iron. I'm sure it was awkward, but not all that different from the straighteners they have now. I would think that nail polish would damage your hair.

Never heard of that before. That would be a lot of nail polish if it were true.

I never heard that one, but I do recall my sister used to use a clothes iron to straighten her hair, then use a lacquer hair spray.
