4th of July?

Question

I want to make a firework type thing, but not for 4th of July my mom thinks it is an explosive:

I figured it out this morning, I would get three empty shotgun shells and filll them with gun powder.

put those ignition strings into the three top holes of the shells.

light it.

then BOOM and I know it wont be very big bc the shells I am going to use aren't very big

is there a problem in that ( it is going to be on a big concrete area on my own land )

I will have my fourwheeler right there with me and it will be turned on and I would drive away before it went off!!!!

This is very very dangerous and you cuold get hurt or you could hurt someone else.
The reason they make FIREWORKS is so that people buy them (they are safer and have been made for just that purpose). Buy the fireworks yuo need. Don't go making some from shotgun shells and gun powder.

Ya you're not really supposed to do that with used shotgun shells. Cant you just light a fire cracker or something

Unless you are very experienced dealing with explosives I would advise against doing that.

If something goes wrong you could lose a finger(s), a hand or your life.

this sounds dangerous and illegal. i personally wouldnt want to do it just in case something went wrong. you could get in a lot of trouble

Very bad idea. Don't do it. It sounds awfully dangerous. Even if you don't hurt other people, you might hurt yourself.
