I grew up in Africa and its a place where people are a lot more interactive than USA. Since i got here i have noticed people just smile and walk pass without a word and the smile vanishes as quickly as it came.

Why don't they at least say "Hi" Most of the smiles are far from genuine and its the first time i have come across anything like this.

One day at work as i walked down the hall, i wasn't smiling but i wasn't exactly frowning either. Just kinda serious and a colleague said "Common smile"

I need a good reason to smile. Why would people just walk u by and smile and say nothing?

He has been sleeping all day... And I am worried about him. My husband was assaulted wednesday night and spent the night in ICU. They said his brain was bleeding. The C/T scan on Thursday morning showed that the bleeding stopped, but bruising remained. They released him Friday afternoon. Today is Saturday and he seems worse than ever. He is constantly sleeping. I can't even get him to wake up to eat. I am worried and curious if anyone has experienced a similar injury.

I don't blame on the people..!!! but I would blame on Bush, and I would demand my U.S citizen rights if I were so concerned about Imigration isues as all of you who answer every day are. However you know labor exploitation, and discrimination based on ethnicity or nationality is illegal, and illegal means illegal.

We are planning a budget wedding (5k) and I'm not the least bit ashamed of it. Our families are split between Ohio and Texas and we are having the wedding in Ohio, the grooms hometown. First my family gripes because they can't afford to travel to Ohio. I know they can, but fine. We send out invites for a post-wedding reception in Texas for those that couldn't travel where a wedding video will be shown. Very informal at my grandpa's farm where my mom was married. Everybody accepts.

We can't afford to cater two receptions so the second informal reception is going to be potluck. When half my family found out it wasn't catered they have announced they won't attend since HTB's family got free food and it wasn't fair. The first reception will be getting very simple, cheap food, most homeade.

I wanted to vent and see if anybody else has a smiliar situation.

when i am on the internet and another member of my family gets on, the speed seems to slow significantly. I have cable internet and a netgear wireless n router so i dont see what the problem is.

i have a brand new macbook (1 gig ram, 200 gig hd, 1 ghz,). i am thinking of using boot camp to install windows vista. how does this work? will i still be able to use osx? how much space on my hd does it take? and last but not least, can you uninstall windows/bootcamp? if so, how do you uninstall it?

I dont know if i should say anything about my coworkers behavior today. My boss was out of town, and I work in a salon. We all get paid hourly, not commision, not booth rental, hourly. So one shows up late and so hung over, she slept the first 3 hours or work. Another has her boyfreind come hang out for the longest time. the owners son hung out for 6 hours talking to the receptionist, who was freaking out because she couldnt log on to myspace. and they all left 30 minutes before they were supposed too. Im not saying im perfect, but i was busy all day doing the work they were supposed to do, so I couldnt really have time to sham like them. Do i nark and tell my boss if she asks how the day went? I just dont think she should be forced to shell out money to the girl that slept. Some advice on how to handle it would be appreciated. Thanks!
