My son stepped on a rusty nail and did not tell me until the next day I took him straight to the doctors who told me it was too late for a tetanus injection so gave him antibiotics. That was last Wednesday. He seems fine today (Saturday) should I be worried ?

To Christian believers, the Word of God given in the Bible does not change from generation to generation. However, the English language is dynamic and ever-changing. Many older words, in early English translations of the Bible, can be difficult to understand and easy to misinterpret.

The main purpose of the Protestant Reformation was to release the Bible from the chains of a language few could understand, into the spoken language of the day.

William Tyndale, who fought and died for the right to print the Bible in the English language of his day, boldly declared to one of his critics, “If God spare my life, I will see to it that the boy who drives the plowshare knows more of the scripture than you…”

So why do so many English-speaking Christians reject virtually ALL English versions of the Bible since the King James version came off the press in 1611?

Surely as Christians we're called to worship the God who gave us the Bible, not to worship the Bible: isn't that idolatry?

My application for flexible working was turned down yesterday on the grounds there was no business case. I applied because I have a 1month old son and I wanted to do 0730-1600 to miss the rush hour and spend more time with him. Anyway my manager forgot to take the application to the meeting where these things are usually discussed so I asked HR what was going to happen and later that day I was told it was turned down. If it did not go through the same process most other applications go through do I have a case to appeal against this?

My puppy has started scooting his rear on the carpet. I know this is a sign that his anal glands need to be expressed, but I can't seem to master it. I really don't want to pay a vet bill for something that I know can be done easily at home. I'm watching it to make sure they don't swell too badly and if they do I will take him in. I was just wondering if any of you were experienced at this and could give me some pointers.

Two years ago I moved to a small town in Kansas to live with a man that I loved. We split up about 7 monthes later and moving became a decision that I regretted. Now that I look back on it I realize that it was the turning point in my life. If I hadn't of moved I probably wouldnt of enrolled in college and I wouldnt be the person I am today. What was the turning point in your life?

A bang would be an instantaneous occurance. Wouldn't a sequential beginning seem to make sense too? Consider the amazing order of a living organism. Does order come from chaos? Doesn't chaos come from order that is failing?
