USA?
16.
no problem.
As long as the schedule works around school. try a grocery store.
Fastfood joints will hire you, but you don't want to do that. Your better than that.
try asking for applications at places you'd like to work when your 16. thats 52 weeks.
You've got All kinds of doors can open for you in that time period.
Don't be shy to try. You've got nothing to lose.

It may not be the best if you're looking to expand your social life with a job, but if MONEY is your motivation, I would babysit. People pay big money these days for a good babysitter. Seriously, if I was a teenager again, I would get certifications, make flyers and business cards, and I think I would make lots more than minimum wage.

Pretty much any of your entry level jobs, although you can't work that many hours. Wal-Mart, Target, K Mart, Starbucks, Toys R Us, Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, Arby's...etc.

I would check with all your grocery chains they are usually the only ones that hire someone your age and its usually the bagger position... kinda sucks thats about it but also look into internship programs through your school this coming year too.
Good Luck

most restaurants will hire younger people as hostess (the guy or girl that takes you to your seat) thats not a bad job, also pizza places hire young people to work the front counter, they usually pay terrible though. good luck.
